Okay, I'm Going to Vent

You know me. I don't vent often, but when I do, I'm beside myself. This time I'm more beside myself than angry. In fact, I'm not angry.
Yesterday was an unusual day. You could say it started in the pool. There's one woman who insists on swimming in the lane I use. I'm there at 5 AM. She comes in at 5:30. Because that's the time the pool opens, 5 AM, there's no way we can get into the pool before five after, so we lose time from the 45 minutes we're allotted. Now this woman who arrives at 5:30. There was an open lane to swim in and she swam in it until 5:45. Then she moved over to the lane I was in and started swimming. I had no choice but to move out of the lane. By the time I got to the open lane, it was no longer open, and even my friend had to get out. We both enjoyed the hot tub. It's rare when I get to swim a full 45 minutes while the person who comes in at 5:30 gets a full hour in the pool as her time starts at 5:45 to 6:30.
Rant 2. When I left the Y yesterday and got to my car, the car parked beside me was so close I had to put my bag into the car on the passenger side and squeeze myself into my car without touching her car. It wasn't easy, but I did it. Be considerate when you park allowing other people space to get in and out of their cars.
Rant 3. Last night when I got off the computer to try to watch the Olympics my TV died. I watched them on the computer. I turned off the power switch and left it off all night. This morning I unplugged the TV from the power strip. Nothing. I'm moving. I can't afford another TV right now.
Rant 4. At the Y again this morning. Time to get out. I planned to use the hot tub but needed to use the bathroom first. Yeah, my suit shredded. I'm moving. I can't afford to spend money on a suit. Good thing I have the old one hanging on a hook in the bathroom.
I told you I wasn't angry. Just beside myself with all this happening right now. Do you run into bad luck when it's totally inconvenient to do something about it? Yes, I could buy a new TV and I could buy a new suit. If I did, I wouldn't have the money to move. It's all on hold until after the move.

You really had a disturbing day but thanks to God by His grace ,you overcame . And you have a good spirit. Yes sometimes I run into bad lucks and wonder what's happening but I try to keep my cool hope you are feeling better now

There are days and weeks like that. The things that brreak cannot be helped. The people who are rude should know better. When you are able to buy a new suit, look at a website called "Swim and Sweat" where I lived before all the water exercise participants bought there. Prices are reasonable and they are modest and the hold up like steel. I had one stolen from my car here, but bought a new one. If I get to swim much this year I will get a second one.

I think I've heard of that site. I usually buy on another site that's also reasonable. Even though they're chlorine resistant, they don't last more than a few months.
Yes, people should know better, but they'll be rude no matter how nice you are to them.

Have you talked to anyone in admin about the lane hog? You need to stand your ground, or water lane as it were, and tell her to stay in her own lane. She's probably the one who parked too close to you, too.

@just4him So why doesn't the lifeguard tell her to stay in her lane or you just paraphrase Ratzo Rizzo and yell, "I'm swimmin' here, I'm swimmin' here!"

No, I know she didn't park close to me. She parks on the street and has a white SUV. It doesn't do any good. As long as there's a lane open, they can swim. She should just wait until I'm through with it. The lifeguard has eyes to see what's happening.

Many people are basically very selfish, wherever we go. I've had cars park too close, it's very thoughtless of the other driver. Television, ours went one time. We found a reset button on the back, which we pushed and it started working again. Swim suits are a must, when time is spent swimming in a pool. I have things constantly happening, Satan is trying to steal our crown:)

@kobesbuddy It doesn't have a reset button. I just looked at my laptop. I can use it to watch TV. My Roku needs an HDMI port and that has one.

I completely understand how you would feel. I've had days , several in a row in fact, where it felt like a domino affect of things going wrong. I had good moments, too. At least you have a suit to use so you can swim. The car thing, I will never understand it, either. My husband prides himself on being able to wedge himself between two cars at work, while I keep thinking, he shouldn't have to.

I hope so too. I found an alternative for the TV. I can plug the Roku into my laptop. It has an HDMI port. I can also watch everything online with my computer. With the Roku, I don't need to bring up every separate site to watch my programs.

The rent. Housing isn't kicking in until October, so I need to pay the month of September and my portion for October. Since I get paid after the first of the month, I need to pay October with the September check. Most of my September check is going to the rent, plus I have the monthly bills to pay.

I often think it is a combination of little things that stress people out. I thought my TV was on the blink for a few minutes this AM as it took several tries to turn it on. I think the remote wasn't aimed right. Roomie's mother had a TV of this type, and it didn't last her that long, so I am always leery..Sorry about all the stuff. When it rains it pours!
