I believe I mentioned to you earlier that hubby agreed to run out to the chicken coops and bring the eggs inside for me. I just noticed the basket of eggs he brought inside when I went to the kitchen to put up the leftovers from dinner. I had to giggle when I saw it. I picked the basket up and brought it to the den and asked, "Is this the eggs you brought in earlier?" He said, "Yes, why?" I told him that those are ceramic eggs and I had them out in the yard away from the coop for the rain to wash them off. I laughed so hard! I hope you got a laugh out of it too! I can sympathise with your husband as I've been known to water artificial plants!

@DaddyEvil Our neighbour gave it to Vince to hide until his wife's birthday. I didn't know it was artificial so tut-tutted about Vince not watering it and gave it a drink.

They look exactly like a chicken egg! He was just confused because the eggs were not by the doors where I leave them until the sun goes down.

They look the same when clean but these were very dirty and why I set them out for the rain to hit them during the storm.

@rebelann If you bang on something. They are not very heavy, made to simulate a real egg and used for broodies so they need to feel and look like real eggs.

Yes, they are used under broody hens or in my case I used them last year when the chickens were eating the eggs before I could get them.

My ex claimed he really did know how to do laundry. I believed him. What a mistake that was! The first month we were married, he washed a wool sweater in hot water and put it in the dryer--honestly, it would have fit a Barbie doll. He washed his red shorts with white towels and underwear, and we had a lot of pink clothes! He was then fired from laundry duty, I wouldn't let him near it. What a disaster. Too bad he didn't try to cook you some scrambled eggs! But this is hilarious!
