The Whole Family Died

I was talking to my younger sister and she informed me to relay the bad message to my younger brother today. To cut it short, his friend and all her family died due to Covid-19. It was a piece of the heartbreaking news that the whole family died due to this unseen virus. Did you know somebody who lost the whole family? Image Credit: images.unsplash.com

@Shavkat Yes, her mother lived with her before she married, but recently in an apartment not far from us. I met her all the time before the pandemic.

It's so sad to lose someone to covid. I lost my friend who was just 40 last Friday. She left behind her 9 year autistic son. I was infected too as well as some members of my family. Thankfully we all recovered.

@Shavkat the child has been deeply affected. Dying to covid is the worst thing ever. I caught this virus at work. 15 of us were infected. Though I have now recovered, I'm still having some after effects. Guess it will take some time to clear off.

I am glad that all of you are fine now. I am sorry for your loss. I felt bad for her special child. It is also the same thing here in my family. We had 14-day home quarantine and luckily, we did not show any signs and symptoms.

I had shared my story and the rest of the family members had 14-day home quarantine. Luckily, no one had shown the signs and symptoms. I would feel shattered if it happens to my immediate family.

That is really bad news. Did hear of a retired chief surgeon who helped at the onset of the pandemia last year. He succumbed to CoViD, as did his son, also a doctor. The wife and the daughter, doctors also, survived. The disease is more dangerous for the male. As footnote to your story, perhaps it was the best for the family. Imagine if one survives and lives the rest of life in longing for the departed loved ones.

All I know is that the mother got infected first. I assumed that she is asymptomatic and spread the virus to her family members. I do not have further information about it.

That is a big question. I heard it all started with the infected mom. Honestly, I do not know the details about this. I also felt bad about their fate. Like you, I am praying so hard that no one will be infected in my immediate family.

@Shavkat That's one thing that cannot be done. But, the turn of the tide, caused by the past, can be changed with another push in its direction. We can overcome the effects of a bad happening in the past, but unfortunately, we can never go back and change/stop it from its already happening.
