Yesterday we went to our local pharmacy to get our COVID-19 boosters and annual flu shots. It went smoothly; and neither of us had any reaction to the booster shot.
We had planned to go to Red Lobster after getting the shots; but it was getting late; and neither of us cares to drive after dark; so we went to a closer restaurant, Pastina. It's an Italian restaurant which turned out to be more expensive than we're used to; but we decided to eat there anyway...besides, I had my PayPal money that I earned from surveys, etc. The dinner was acceptable; and we were able to get home by sunset.
We should hear something about the appraisal of the other house next week. That will be the last obstacle to the sale.
Nothing else new for now. Our housekeeper/realtor will finally make it over to clean today.
What's going on with you??

So glad you like the picture. It almost makes me cry because I miss our dogs so much. Yes, we are starting to pick up food for Thanksgiving; and I've ordered extra turkey parts.

@LindaOHio i still don't know who is attending our meal this year, so I can't get a turkey yet.

@DocAndersen It will just be the two of us; but my husband is a turkey maniac. He will eat turkey for every meal until it's gone.

The last two times we had Red Lobster dinners we ordered them and had them delivered. It worked fine and we enjoyed our meals. Glad that you enjoyed your meals. Hear anything on the appraisal yet?

@celticeagle That way we don't have to worry about having to drive home in the dark.

We won't hear anything until probably the end of next week. We are thinking about taking out a Red Lobster dinner when the time change goes into effect.

I don’t know when I’ll be able to get my booster, probably after the first of the year because I got it so late. Or maybe I should just go ahead and get it now because what they told me about waiting so long after having covid was wrong to begin with.
Off for a foliage drive.

The original shots last 6 months. If it's been longer than that, you should be OK. Shorter than that, call your pharmacy that gives the shots and ask. Good luck.

@LindaOHio — okay, then I’ll get it right after my semi-annual dermatologist visit in February. Unless it’s snowing, then you and I will be in Key West.

@LindaOHio Exactly that one and Mom said I always spitted pastina because I hated. This has not changed.

It reminds me of the soup that my grandmother made for me with pastina in it.

@LindaOHio Understood. Were the sauces "watery" by American standards? I learned the hard (and expensive) way) that watery sauces are "authentic." @Ladyduck, any thoughts on this matter?

It wasn't good enough to justify the prices.

That's great. We just have two sore arms. No other complications.

Just a small doubt. How can you double attack your immune system simultaneously?
I believe booster shot would have small doses of weakened covid virus. So too the flu shots will have weakened flu virus. Now the anti bodies are getting ready to vanquish. The forces will have to divide. Then, likelihood of virus winning increases isn't it since they have smaller bunch of white corpuscles to fight.

I don't know. All I know is that they said that both could be given at the same time.

I love that photo, Just the usual stress and upheaval due to not knowing if we have to move on or not but still here at this time, I hate when I cannot live in peace and there is something hanging over my head but at this time there is not much I can do about it,

Great you enjoyed your dinner. Hubby and I went to a French restaurant for dinner last night for our wedding anniversary. Pricey but great.

@LindaOHio it really was. He sure knows how pick great restaurants. He told he tried to book a table at a few other restaurants and all were fully booked. He got lucky with this one. He got the last table.

I had my covid vaccine booster ages ago. I do remember though that the arm hurt for some time, but I think that the vaccine had nothing to do with it. Some people should not be nurses.
