Our First Snowflakes Of The Season

Yes, it is true, we had our first snowflakes of the season a few minutes ago. The flakes were huge and it was beautiful to look at. They have stopped falling now and there is not trace left of them. Did you get your first flakes yet?

We had an incredibly warm day. We went out twice shopping and I had to take off my jacket.

I guess it's still quite exciting to see the first snow, but probably less so by February! We get very little snow where I live, and most often much later in winter and even in spring - March or April.

No, but when I lived in the snow belt, it always snowed by my mid Nov. birthday, and I noticed this year they had a little bit by that time as well. We just don't get enough snow to suit here.

@marlina Yeah, but am used to it,,,have been in VA most of my adult life, although there is more snow in the Northern part of the state than there is here.

That sounds beautiful. It's still early for them to stick to the ground. Yes, we did and melted here too. They changed today's forecast of mixed to nothing except extreme cold.

@marlina I really don't know actually even though it no longer is an option for me talking about moving north I would love to return to Latvia and that is in northern Europe I am just finding that the US I knew is no longer the US where I was raised and grew up SIGH

No flakes but we did have a mini-hailstorm last week. I haven't seen hail in a long time... Same with the hail it went as quickly as it came.
