Yesterday ended up being sad. But this morning saw this blossom and now I wonder if this is a gift from Meetzee, she's no longer in any kind of distress and is probably playing in a grassy backyard with Max and mom is probably watching.
Soon all the hollyhocks will bloom.
I love owls, look how adorable this one is with his cat

Awww, thank you
The mystery plant buds have started to open and I can see it is a lovely hot pink. I'm thinking it probably is a mallow, from what I've read they are related to Hollyhock and of all the weird things to read is that they are supposedly edible .... I don't think I'll try making salad with em though.

I know you must miss Meetzee so much.
Hollyhocks remind me of my mom and daughter. My mom had holly hocks in her garden when my daughter was little and she used to call them pollypockets. So hollyhocks always have a special memory for me

We start getting into the 80s around this time of year and gets really hot in June then tapers down into the 80s by September. My hollyhocks will bloom all through May to July then restart again in late August.

I like the video of the cat and the owl being best friends.

I love owls too. I even have an owl collection. I'm sorry about Meetzee; but you are right -- she's happily playing now. That's a beautiful flower.

My maternal grandmother loved hollyhocks, she always grew them. So pretty.

Yes, it is a gift from Meetzee, telling you that everything is ok now as far as she's concerned.

I am sure she is, and perhaps it's her way of saying hello and appoligizing for giving you that scare and shock.
