Hopefully Dry Night

As the last couple of days we have had over 4 inches of rain here. The weeds have loved it as much as my plants have. I need to get to the garden and pull those when it dries a little bit.
I got weeds pulled from a few different areas in the backyard today. It looks better. Especially the 2 empty tires that I have. I need to find something to plant in them. I also washed the big bay window down good. I can see out of it again. But it is now missing the artwork Monster put there. My cucumbers are also sliced and in salt water. In ten days I will get those canned and put away.
Hope you had a good day also.

Hopefully I can do more this weekend before they get too tall.
They will stay good a long time. But do start getting softer as they get older

You got a lot done, nice! You know, I've not heard of putting cut cucumber in salt water, is it to preserve the crunch?

No they are called salty pickles. They will absorb the salt taste. I love them.

That's a lot of rain. We finally got lucky and had a huge rain Sunday night, about 2 inches. Yesterday, it just sprinkled for about an hour. But everything is still very dry here. And yes, the weeds seem to grow overnight!

We can go a few days without rain now. I would love to get a little each week. Not all at one time.

We had a bit of rain earlier this morning. Then it was gone, it's still overcast, and the heat is just steamy, very humid.

Can see that you've done a lot of work. Never tried to put cucumbers in salt water. Is it for the taste or something else?

@Beestring You can get an idea of how they taste by putting one or 2 sliced up in a bowl of salt water in the fridge for a couple of days. I have some there to snack on.

I would like some rain in the afternoon tomorrow. I need to mow some more in the morning and do some outdoor stuff. I would not mind if you sent it my way.

You had a lot of rain and I know you do not need it. As we say in Italy "it always rain where it is already too wet".
It rained during the night, not a lot, but enough to avoid to go out to water this morning.
Today it should have been sunny, but I see dark clouds... wait and pray.

It is often too much or too little
Not watering is the nice thing. Hope you get some more rain. We have sun right now

Weeding is a tough exercise. It's been raining here in the last whole week though it's not too heavy. It saves me from the chore of watering the plants. But then I can see weeds growing up everywhere.

I enjoyed my day at home working on sharing good news stories on this site and other works related to survey taking and writing an editorial on sports business.
