That was a nice option

I got a new printer.
I tried to install it on my computer, but it would get to a certain place and stop every time.
I followed the onscreen instructions, again and again. Four times last night. Twice today.
Somehow, clicking around on things, I found a place where it said it would troubleshoot itself. So why not?
It did the work, fixed the problem, and I was able to print out some important paperwork that I need for something for my sister. Yahoo!!
Wish I had found that place last night. Wish I knew where it is right now.
I am sure if I need it again, I will find it again. Probably under settings or something. Yeee haw!

@GardenGerty Yeah, me, too. I'd love to figure out how to get rid of the autoimmune disease that swells my eyes closed. (So far, the new shots aren't working.)

The drivers were on a CD, and my computer can read CD's, but there was an option to go online and download the drivers. That was going to be my next step. I am glad I was able to do this though.

@RubyHawk I came home one afternoon in May and my modem was off. Not even trying to come back. Then my desktop would not turn off, but neither would it come on, and the monitor told me it got no signals. Where we are periodically has electrical outages and when the power comes back on it does so with a surge. I was surprised this time because it usually goes with a thunderstorm, but we did not have one.

@GardenGerty How do you know it was a power surge and does that mean the computer is destroyed?

I sometimes resort to youtube videos to fix things around the house. I love that option. Glad you got it fixed.

@GardenGerty
Youtube has rescued me more than once. But it gives me a satisfied feeling to know that I can fix something by myself most of the time.

Wow. Congratulations on the job well done. We have our printer too but can't use because the black ink cartridge has a spill.

Congratulations on finding out how it works, I have not used my printer in a long time so now I will have to print something to see if it still works, I mostly used it to scan photos into the PC,

Sometimes the ink dries on the heads if you do not use it often.

Printers can be such a pain to set up, for me anyway. It's good you were able to get it going.

I had done that. That may be how I found the trouble shooting button.
