Hello, Friends! I'm new member in myLot. I join myLot to help me with better English grammar. So feel free to correct me if i make a mistake. I really appreciate if you tell me what wrong and how the corect one. And don't hesitate to tell me if i make a mistake in regulation of myLot. I did read the guideline but sometimes i forget about that. That's my weakness, sadly. So thank you for your welcome.

English can be a difficult language for some to grasp as there are many nuances and variables, especially to pronunciation and spelling for example. The best thing you can do is read good English to see how words and phrases and sentences are put together. But of course we can always help as well with some of that.
The most important thing, especially if English is not your native tongue, is that we can understand and comprehend what you are trying to say. Your post may have a lot of grammatical errors, but in no way was it lacking understanding.

@LinaMarta Seems to me like so far you are doing just fine. No need to be perfect so long as you are understood is a good rule to follow.

Thank you so much. In school i learnt about grammar, etc but not so much. We have to go to some course to get more, but sadly the good course is really expensive. So i learn English by watching film, listening to the music, etc. Now i want to learn more about grammar. Thanks for being honest and tell me that i have many grammatical error. Hope someday i can write with zero error

I'm sure that no native speaker of English will correct you. As long as what you write is understandable they're content.
If you're afraid of forgetting the guidelines, you can copy and print them and put them beside your computer.

@LinaMarta That's what I like about mylot too. The community here are interacting without caring too much about the earnings. Plus, the admin here are super strict and they watch carefully the interactions, conversations and posts being posted. So I guess I never found any profanities yet here. And you actually found some innovative posts or response here if compared to social media.

I am not sure about the myLot rules now. When it first began we were not supposed to correct people for fear of making them feel badly. Your writing is very understandable. As @porwest told you, it will really help you become smoother in your expression if you read what others write. Bear in mind that not everyone here has English as their first language, and even if they do they may not be perfect. Read lots of different writers and you will be learning a lot about English without having to pay for an expensive course. You will also make friend, earn a little compensation and maybe you will help us learn new things as well. Welcome to myLot.

I think someone told me we can correct someone if that person give permision to do so. But i don't know, if there's a rule to not openly correct a mistake you can message me.

English is also not my first language in here but I can write short responses and I think they can understand what I meant is all that is important in this site. No one will correct your English here for as long as they can understand what you mean here. I think in time when you are used to participating in here you will learn them in time.

@LinaMarta If you want you can use paraphrasing sites out there and try them here. There are times it is more understandable and improve your composition.

duolingo is a free facebook app to learn but it does have its limitations .I have done the whole thing three times and it tells me I can speak Spanish lol, clearly i still need more help

Duolingo is so expensinve in Indonesia 
. There are some American men who live in Indonesia, they make a video about learning English in Instagram. The pronounciation, the idiom, etc. I follow them also.

I think in many country, there are always this kind of people who not speak their native language properly. In Indonesia many people speak with slang or messy grammar. But many people also speak in good grammar and vocabulary. I think it's normal.
