Here is how it is going

Bob is in the hospital, on antibiotics. The main symptom of CDiff is the diarrhea. That may be TMI for some.
He is on an oral antibiotic. Is still mostly refusing to eat, except for drinking gingerale and eating some fruit.
I also learned that right now he is taking an opiate, for two reasons. The idea is that it will stop the pain from the intense stomach cramps. It also tends to constipate, so they hope the trips to the toilet will slow down too.
He may be released today. If not, I will go see my sister and work at her house.
I am beyond tired. Think I will take a twenty mnute nap before I go to work.

Sorry to know that Bob is not keeping well. Hope he improves and is sent back to home. Sending prayers and positive vibes.
You need some good rest and relaxation. Nursing is a big toll on mental and emotional health.

Christ has suffered much than man does. Only God heals a sick person because of his unwavering faith.

God heals us, but he also expects us to take appropriate actions to access his healing. Yes, we still have faith.

It is a very bad bacteria. Often it is caught in a medical facility. People who have had to take lots of antibiotics often have a weakened immune system and that makes t hem susceptible.

I know that was what they had available. It still works.

@GardenGerty - Opiates are no more allowed here in Europe. It is a shame, an opiate product against the migraines was the only one that worked for me.

I hope your hubby is released today and things will go better for him. I hope you managed to get your nap before you had to get ready to go in to work today, too.

I am napping when I can. Here it is a week later and he is beginning to dream up meals for me to cook.

@GardenGerty Take them when you can. You have a lot going on and might not be fully resting at night too.

You know, so many times we pray or think about the sick person but totally forget the family/caregivers. An illness can be as taxing on the family as the sick person (and, in many cases, more so). My prayers for you as well as him.

Rest every little bit you can.
It's hard when people we love need care. I've been caring off and on for my adult son for the past 18 months, and I know it's really tough. You feel so helpless when you can't fix someone and make them better.
Hang in there, Heather.
