Swallowtail Butterflies Enjoying The Heat

Went out for five minutes to take some photos. Could not last any longer with the heat. Not sure how others stay out in this heat. Much less work in it. So dangerous.
We are at 95, feels like 99 F right now at 4:30. Crazy. Anyway, the hummingbirds and butterflies are loving the garden right now. A few birds visited the bird bath off and on today too.
Snapped this large Swallowtail as he was flying up over the butterfly bush. So cool to see these on any day. I can feel so much peace watching them fly. So graceful. There was a Monarch earlier but I didn't get out in time for photos.
Hope your day has been a good one. Fall arrives tomorrow and I hope it brings cool surprises here, as in weather. A good day for you?

We got a little warmer than you today... but only by one degree. Pretty and I went grocery shopping. We hurried carrying in the groceries... it was just too hot to stay outside.
I did stop and pick ripe tomatoes before I came on inside the house and ate them for "breakfast" today. YUM!

Thanks. We have bell peppers that are almost ripe, too. Looking forward to picking those. (We thought the high temps meant no bell peppers at all for us but since its cooled down, the plants are loaded with them now.)

Nice pictures of the butterflies on this post. It is a warm day here as well even though the humidity is harsh on me when I have to stay outside for a short period waiting for the school bus to bring home my nephew from high school this afternoon.

@CarolDM i know what you mean since there are many news reports of persons dying for staying out in the heat for too long of a time.

Thanks so much for always asking. Much better. But a few issues to deal with I am told are normal. Still easy to overdo it. The heat still gives me headaches. But the major pain is gone I hope. Oct 3rd is my last (hopefully) post-op appointment.

The weather snapped and now we are in the 60s. Not sure how much work in the yard I will get done this weekend though. We pick up the camper on Saturday and I think it will take up most of the day with all we have to do. Sunday may be spent doing some practicing or whatever with it.

The temperature is just crazy. That is hot.
Today our temperature is at 87 but will be gloomy in the afternoon because there is a weather disturbance just outside Philippine area.

Swallowtails are one of my favorite butterflies! So pretty!
It has been decent weather here actually, but it is going to warm up a little bit next week. I was kinda hoping to not see over 100 again, but alas...we don't actually get autumn here, so warmer weather it shall be.
