Happy Birthday Brendel & Dude

Celebrating my cats, as I do every day. Today Brendel turns 13. Rescued her not long after losing Momma Kitty in 2011. We actually rescued each other. She has had, and still has a few health conditions that cannot be cured. But all in all she seems fine. I am blessed to have her.
The Dude turns 9 today. He was approximately one year old when he was rescued in 2014. And was on what we call death row. I could not leave him when I saw him there. The least adoptable cats are the black ones. He is such a teddy bear. I am happy to have him as well.
Brendel weighs about 6 pounds, probably 1/3 the weight of the Dude. But she is the boss. She lets him know she was here first. And he listens. Very laid back personality. I hope they feel as blessed to be here as I do to have them to love.

Happy birthday to your babes. In my household only dogs have lived long Naaki in fact lived for 16 years - the longest.

@allknowing Yes they both try to get in my lap when the tv comes on for about two hours each night. I usually am holding Brendel as the Dude stretches. I need a bigger lap. Or they need to just get in their beds. So spoiled.

Happy Birthday (delayed) to Dude and Brendel!!
I enjoy when you talk about them or share their pictures.
In a way, they too have been part of Mylot.
I am sure that if there had been a possibility of my kids meeting them, they would be very happy!
By the way, I just discovered that I have been so out of touch with many of the updates that you shared.
May be multiple reasons like not being active here sometimes or absorbed in some other discussions.
I can see that there is a big lot from your side which I have missed - perhaps during the last 20 / 25 days!!

Among the animal kingdom there is always a boss isn't there! Our family cat always gave our dog a swat to let him know he was living here first
