Jelly Beans? - Yes or No

Jelly beans are my Kryptonite. I only have my husband buy them for me occasionally since I'm not happy until they are all gone. They are my favorite candy. I love spiced, cinnamon and black licorice jelly beans the best. I don't care for Jelly Belly Jelly Beans as I don't like all of the weird flavors (Buttered Popcorn, Bubblegum, etc.)
It is thought that jelly beans were first mentioned in 1861 when Archie Andrews, a Boston confectioner, suggested that people send his jelly beans to soldiers in the Civil War.
Jelly beans were advertised in the Chicago Daily News on July 5, 1905 for $.10 per pound. It is believed that jelly beans were first associated with Easter in the United States sometime in the 1930s because of their egg shape.

I ate them first when I went to the US when I was a child. Now we have them here and I love them. I eat them by colour depending on my mood

I like them, but I like almost anything sweet. I do like the ones that we get called spiced bird eggs.

The beans always win out when I have a taste for something sweet...although I could go for some chocolate truffles at any time!

Jelly beans are okay but not my favorite candy by far. (I won't eat the black licorice or the lemon ones at all. They go in the trash because Pretty won't eat those, either.) The rest of the flavors are alright.

Jelly beans are a yes for me! I love nibbling them. I really don't have a favorite. I enjoy them all. Just looking at those colorful beans is already enough to put a smile on my face. Children loved them too.

Generally, no. I do like Jelly Bellys, but there’s just nothing but gooey sugar and bad artificial flavor in jelly beans.
Oh, and I’m the oddball. I love licorice jelly beans.
