We have a few things on the agenda today

For once, we actually have a few things to do today. We’re going to a friend’s place for Vince to do a very minor repair to a light switch. In return, she is making us lunch and we will even have time for a game of Qwerkle. On the way, we’re dropping off my wedding dress at a theatre. We will do a bit of shopping on the way home but in the evening we’ll go to the clubhouse theatre to watch The Money Trap. I haven’t seen it before. The film will end about 8.30pm then four of us will have a few drinks at another couple who also live in the village. The photo is of a Qwerkle game. It’s fun. Have you played it? The aim is to get a row of six tiles of the same colour OR of the same shape.

Looks a teeny bit like a dominoes game. Lunch, shopping, a show , meeting with friends - sounds like a lovely day is ahead.

I have never heard of that game before. I thought it was some kind of dominoes at first. Why were you dropping off your wedding dress? A photo of it and the reason you were dropping it off may be an excellent post!

@JudyEv oh that’s so neat! Then you will be able to watch the play and see them wearing it. I have my wedding dress from my first wedding to donate. It’s taking up space and I’m ready to part with it finally.

I have written about it. It costs too much to dry clean so I can't really donate it to a thrift shop. But the theatre group need a wedding dress for a play. I'm happy with it going there.

It sounds like you'll have a lot of fun with friends. Unfortunately I've never heard of the game before and what's worse is that since I'm single my married friends don't invite me to any events they go to. Such is life.

That's so wonderful of you. I have noticed that the couples I know will mostly include the husbands single friends rather than those of the wife ..... I only found this out whenever Carol would mention one of Hanks friends whose also single (he's only about 50 though, too young for me anyway) and how he had told some joke or whatever at one of the functions she and Hank go to.

No, first I've heard of it. Sounds like a very nice day to night plans! Got my laundry done, Resident Manager looked at my rusty door hinges, so we now it'll be up tu handyman and landlord for what done next. Thursday, eye doctor appointment.

I am not familiar with this game. Sounds like fun. I remember many card games, Monopoly, Scrabble, and Trivial Pursuit. Some of my favorites.

I have never heard of this game, I have no one to play with anyway but among my favorites are backgammon and Yahtzee and I play those online against the PC player, Enjoy the movie and your time with friends,
