It's Friday and I'm Home Alone

Happy Friday Everyone! it's a nice sunny day here today and I'm always happy when the sun is shining through the windows.
My daughter is off from work today and is meeting up with her friends to do their yearly shopping day. They meet at a mall about an hour away from here, shop, have lunch, shop some more and basically just enjoy spending the day together.
So it's just me and the pup.
I don't have any big plans for the day but I do have some boxes to open and sort through while she's gone. Not everything I bought is for her but she does get some extra things under the tree on Christmas morning.
Today is trash day and I'm hoping my wonderful neighbor will bring my pails up my driveway for me. He's so good and will do this frequently and every time he does I appreciate it so much. I have some ideas in mind for a small gift of gratitude because I like to show my appreciation.
I'm just finishing up my coffee and will have breakfast shortly. I have blueberry English Muffins and will toast one up and spread some cream cheese on top. A few black grapes on the side and I'll be set.
Tomorrow my grandson will be marching in the holiday parade in Philadelphia with his high school marching band. He's been lucky to have marched in many parades his high school years. He's becoming a good at playing the trumpet.

I didn’t have garbage stickers on Monday so I will have double to put out this Monday if my stickers arrive in the mail in time. If not it may just be cheaper to take a truck load to the dump when my husband goes to work one of these days.
I just got invited to a 50th birthday party Saturday night. Sunday all the dogs go for their vaccinations at a clinic.

@Marilynda1225 we pay $4 per garbage bag and $1.25 per sticker. I have about 5 bags of garbage that will have to go out from things I’m tossing from the closets as well as two weeks worth of garbage by then

Do you need stickers for a certain amount of garbage? We have to get extra stickers if we have more than what fits in our pails.

@Marilynda1225 I have cut some huge branches from my rosemary. I am painting the wood in gold and copper, I plan to glue to it some pine cones, glass Christmas balls, and a few leaves and berries from the holly tree. I already crafted a couple of gnomes using old socks and a snow man.

@Marilynda1225 I remember that he has marched in other parades, but being a Nanny myself now, I can only imagine the pride that you must feel when you see him performing.

@Juliaacv my granddaughter (his sister) was also in the marching band when she was in high school but not as music orientated as he is. She went to a college that is noted for their marching band and then didn't join when she got there. Go figure

My grandson has been marching in quite a few big parades throughout his high school years. Now he's applying to colleges with excellent music programs as he wants to pursue a career in the music field (a teacher maybe) The jazz band will be going to Germany next spring and he's very excited about that

Our neighbor brings back the trash dumpster to the house every week. We are giving her a gift card to her favorite restaurant. Nothing planned for this weekend. Hope you have a great one.

@Marilynda1225 Today is Saturday, but happy Friday to you too.
I am happy because yesterday there was a joint meal and charity donation event after we held a joint prayer at our mosque.
And, for the weekend, I will most likely attend a family gathering the following Sunday.

Yes, as a matter of fact I do. I am going to a lighted boat parade and am hoping to get some great photos! Plus there is a log cabin brewery and restaurant that has opened about a half hour from here, plan to check it out.

No I won't' be able to watch in person. HIs band has to travel to Philadelphia as we don't live anywhere near there. It's supposed to be televised on Sunday so I have it scheduled to tape and I'm hoping his school get some camera time.

The parade he's marching in tomorrow in Philadelphia will be televised on Sunday so I'm going to tape it so I can actually see him marching.
It was nice to get the gifts wrapped and under the tree before my daughter gets home. I hope she isn't tempted to peek before the big day

It's exciting isn't it. I've always loved marching bands and parades but my children weren't offered any music/band programs when they went to school. So I'm excited to share these moments with my granddaughter when she was in high school and now her brother. She played clarinet and he plays trumpet

We're expecting rain and wind tomorrow morning but it should clear up by late afternoon. The crazy part is the temperature is going to be around 60 degrees

Now here almost 12 am, i was preparing my college exam which will start next week. Except studying, i scrolling mylot for keep discussion continues.
Sometimes i like to use instagram and tiktok for make mind refresh. This week and last week most of time i spend in study while gossips with friends online social platforms and earning site and freelance task.

Oh, marching in the holiday parade is fun. The weather will warm up a bit over the weekend. I plan to visit my nephew and play electric guitar with him.
