Happy Wednesday Everyone! another rainy day today but the difference is we have fog. Lots and lots of fog. I can't even see the house behind me it's so thick.
Thank you all for the prayers and good wishes for my daughter in laws surgery yesterday. After waiting hours before she was taken in for surgery it went well. All the waiting around was hard for my son and he sounded exhausted by the time he called last night to say they were on their way home. I'll text him later to see how the night went and I'm hoping that my daughter in law wasn't in too much pain.
Today is my day to catch up on some housework. Laundry is going and I need to vacuum which I was going to do yesterday. But, the day was full of distractions and I didn't do half the things I had wanted to.
Did manage to get my grocery order done and it will be ready for pick-up tonight when my daughter gets off from work. She'll go pick it up while I cook dinner.
Haven't decided what to make yet but guaranteed it will be easy.
That's what's going on here today.
How's your day going?

I love sunny days even if it's freezing cold outside. But I still prefer a rainy day over a snowy one

@Marilynda1225 We should get snow starting late this afternoon and during all the night. This is really bad, when it snows during the night it does not melt.

Housework definitely is job security. However the pay isn't very good
I'm glad my daughter in laws surgery went well and now I'm hoping her recovery won't be as long as they say.

@Marilynda1225 You're right; it's terrible pay. I wonder if anyone ever calculated what a housewife's job was worth.
I hope it's a quick recovery.

Glad the surgery went well. No big plans here other than to do the steps, while dodging rain showers I guess I have to continue kitchen cleaning as I am hopefully getting the DW repaired on Monday. I hope it isn't one of those.."You'd be better off getting a new one"...type things. That's a hassle, even if it is a couple of hundred bucks, I would like this one fixed.

@snowy22315 I'm also glad she was able to get her surgery done now so that she's better for Christmas especially since the whole family is always together for that.

I was exhausted just from waiting to hear how her surgery went. I'm hoping she has a quicker recovery than the doctor says (3 to 4 mos). She had to have the ligament in her elbow repaired as it was all frayed.

@JudyEv yes she had to go back today for an ultrasound Her whole arm and elbow is severely swollen and the doctor wanted the ultrasound to check for a blood clot or clots. He didn't find any but if she develops a fever she has to go immediately to the Emergency Room and if she's still as swollen tomorrow she has to call the doctor. I'm praying that the swelling goes down and she starts to heal and doens't have any complications.

Glad to hear that your DIL's surgery went well and that she is home. I hope she continues to improve. It's chilly, foggy and rainy here today. Nothing going on here. Hope you have a great day.

I hope she recovers well and feels better soon, Marilyn.
My youngest girl had surgery last week. I was a wreck the entire day, I knew she was in good hands but I still worried. I guess it's just part of being a parent. We have had days of clouds and gloom, the sun has forgotten us here. It was very foggy this morning as well as yesterday.

I know how you feel and totally understand when you say we as parents still worry about our kids no matter how old they are. The stress of worry while the surgery is going on is exhausting.
Our day is totally dismal and gloomy but at least the rain isn't snow. I'm trying to be optimistic

I'm hoping for a quick recovery too even thought the recovery for that type of surgery can be 3 to 4 months.
I like bread with spaghetti too even though it's pretty much carb overload for me.

The waiting is what drives you crazy and yes it was stressful for both my daughter in law waiting to go into surgery and my son waiting and praying everything would go well. Thank God it did go well and now she can concentrate on her recovery.

The waiting was hard especially for hours but it's over now and that's the best thing. She's a trooper so I'm sure she'll do whatever needs doing to recover so she can get back to her busy life.
Gloomy here as well

I got most of my "extra" cleaning done for the holidays already so now it's just a matter of keeping up with the vacuuming and dusting.

Thanks for your good wishes about my daughter in laws surgery. Now she just has a somewhat long recovery according to the doctors. I don't know if I told you she had to have the ligament in her elbow repaired as it had frayed. They say recovery can be 3 to 4 months. I'm assuming most of that will be physical therapy.
