Good morning. How is everyone today? Are you facing severe weather that's hit everywhere from the west coast of the US eastward? Flooding in California, tornadoes in the south, and snow, ice, and rain through the middle of the country northward.
We're facing a weather alert day today with icy road conditions that already caused several accidents in the early morning.
If the weather isn't an issue that's great. I know I'm staying in this morning, though I have a hair appointment this afternoon when conditions will be much better, and Writer's Guild tonight. My friend is picking me up.
My prayers are going out to the Buffalo Bills football player who collapsed on the field last night during a game between the Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals. He's in critical condition this morning after going into cardiac arrest on the field. He's 24 years old.

Good morning... The storms blew themselves out here around 10 pm last night. They started with gentle rain around noon yesterday, switched to hail for several minutes about 5 pm and then it poured with thunder and lightning that shook the house. It's a partly cloudy morning but we have heavy fog warnings for today and the temp is already at the high temp for today at 57F. The forecast claims the temp will drop from 5 pm on until we reach 30F by tomorrow morning.

@just4him At least I was awake when it started happening. Pretty was asleep but the hail and thunder woke her up. We both ran to the front door to see how big the hail was, though. We've seen baseball sized hail before. Yesterday it was gumball sized.

We are finally getting the much needed rain in CA - but we're not in the flooded areas. Some areas are really getting hit with severe winter weather conditions 
! Yes, very scary what happened to that football player - so young - I hope he can recover fully.

@much2say A little better this morning. He's on a ventilator, but only 50% oxygen. He was at 100%. So that's an improvement.
It didn't feel that cold. Wet though as it was raining or sleeting when my friend picked me up for Writer's Guild.

I am here in New York, and have been praying for Damar Hamlin, his family, friends, coworkers, the NFL, all of Buffalo, Cincinnati, McKees Rock, and Pittsburg since last night.
Rain is in the forecast here, too.

The rains still keep on pouring for three days in a row. The city mayor suspended classes till Friday. He said it's better for the children to stay at home than to be in school and be soaked with rains. They might get sick. By the way, our good Mayor is a doctor by profession.

My word for today is "tired". As much fun as the holidays were I'm taking today off and relaxing.

I hope he recovers too.
I called to cancel my hair appointment to find my hairdresser not feeling well. I told her to reschedule when she felt better. She called me back to tell me my appointment is next week, not today. Works for me.
It's raining now. My friend will pick me up at 3:30. I'm ready with something to read tonight.

Yes, I think that football player has a lot of the country praying for him honestly...poor kid. Warm and a bit windy here.
