Do you have a reading goal for this year?

I ended last year having read 65 books. I am keeping my reading goal for this year at 65 books again. I hope I can reach it. Or better yet surpass it. Haven’t started reading any books this year yet as I’m waiting on two books I had placed on hold at the library to get here. I hope they will come soon.

Same as @marlina, I do not have a reading goal. There are some books that I read in a few days and others that take a long.

If I can get myself to sit down and read I can probably read a book in a few days if it’s a big one.

@lovebuglena I usually read in the evening before sleeping. I have no time to sit and read during the day.

@LadyDuck When I used to work or go to college I'd read while commuting.

@lovebuglena If I read one book it would be monumental.

It's good to start small. Hope you read more than one book though.

@RebeccasFarm They say three's a charm. Let's bet on three books by the end of the year.

I do not read like I used to. I blame it on years being an editor, and the fact that I read a lot of other stuff now such as news, or balance sheets, 10-ks and 8-Qs, plus I do a lot of reading of articles on read.cash and read a lot of stuff here. I guess I find reading the other stuff more fun and then don't have much time to sit down and read anything else. Nor do I really have the desire to.

@porwest What does it mean "to provide an indorsement for" when it comes to books?

@lovebuglena Mostly short stories. I was in the horror genre. But I was also sent many books to review and/or provide an endorsement for.

I have not set up any reading goal but definitely would like to get some books to read. I don't have any library close by hence would have to buy books to read.

I’m actually thinking of buying some books. I have an amazon gift card I can use.

I haven't set a number goal but my goal is to read more than I did last year. I started a book right after Christmas but didn't finish it until yesterday so I'm counting it as my 2st book for this year. I don't know if that's cheating What books are you waiting for?

No Pain, No Gaines by Chip Gaines and a new mystery with recipes by Isis Crawford. Don’t remember the title.

I read 25 books last year. I changed my goal on goodreads to 18. I'm reading one book and I have a book on hold and an audiobook on hold.

Maybe I'll aim at one book a week for the year. It might get me reading more.

@Marty1 I enjoyed that series very much. I'm considering reading those again. The blueberry cobbler and apple pie series, I loved them too.

Four books a month is good, especially if the books are not small.

Wow! You've read 65 books last year. To say its an accomplishment is an understatement. I bet you can surpass that this year. I don't have reading goals anymore. To be honest, I hardly read ever since my eyes started to strain easily and I've been seeing this shadows. I switched to audio books but hardly had time to focus on it either.

I didn’t do bad but compared to some who read hundreds a year this is probably not that much.

Last book I read was It Ends With Us. I want to read Roxana but I dont have a physical or electronic copy. I'm amazed you can read that many books in a year. I have read more or less 10 books in 2022.

Well, I love to read poetry books. Those are usually quicker reads than prose, especially if they are under 100 pages. That helps with the reading goal.
