Introducing Kink

The photo is of Kink. Can you see how he got his name? His tail has been broken and now has a definite kink in it. He and Lester are the resident cats at our new house-sit. Kink likes a cuddle and when we first saw Lester, he/she walked very confidently up to Vince and made him welcome. This is a lovely home and relatively new. The owners have gone to a lot of trouble to have self-feeders and self-waterers for the various animals and have also tried to cut down on the amount of watering that we’ll have to do. However, Vin and I are having a bet about how many pot plants are in the house. Vince is guessing 21. I was saying 30 but after a brief look around this morning, I’m now guessing 50. There are pots everywhere! But more about that next time. They don’t care if all the plants die as long as the animals don’t run out of water. But we’ll be doing our best to keep the plants alive as well. And thanks to myLot for our payments today.

He's a good looking tabby, at first I thought perhaps he'd been born with a kink tail, when Prissy had her kittens back in 1976 2 were born with kinked tails.

My Mum had a pet lamb which was damaged during its birth. It always had its head on one side. It was named Kinky.

He's cute @JudyEv how long did he live? I have no clue what the average lifespan of sheep would be.

Poor kitty. I could never have that many plants. I'm not really a plant nurturer.

I'm not either really. I keep forgetting about them. And I don't have room now either.

Greetings on your Mylot payout. I hope that you have a nice time with these cats! Plants need so much more care during the Summers. 50 is a big number indeed but yes, managing water for both plants and animals would be a task by itself. Have a nice weekend.

@JudyEv I wish we could have heat and cold exchange programs. Here, cold weather is making clothes drying tougher. Some thick clothes take 5 to 6 days to dry up unless we use ceiling fans to dry them.

I hope you and Vince haven't been taking any buds from the pot plants growing there... The owners might miss them when they come home. Sorry, someone on a YT video I was watching yesterday was called potted plants "pot plants" and it kept making me giggle. At least I only have 12 pots of plants in our house. Ten in the kitchen and two in the laundry room.

@JudyEv Oh how cruel to call a cat by it's defect!! Not very PC of its owners! I might take up this house sitting lark if I can't find one to buy soon.

Oh, was today payday? I hadn't noticed until you mentioned it. At one time my mom had plants in every window downstairs. I counted them one day and if I remember correctly, there were 100 or so.

We've usually had to take our time for cats to accept us but this one had no hesitation. Ralphie at the last place was very confident too.

We watered just about everything today. There has been strong winds all day which dry out the smaller pots in particular. I guess there are a few cats running round with bent tails.
