Meals - 1/18/23

We lead such boring lives that there is very rarely any news to report. On the other hand, there isn't much drama to contend with. We STILL haven't gone to get our #2 COVID-19 boosters and annual flu shots. Very bad. My hair still needs to be cut; and I have to go get my bi-yearly labs done. I don't know what it is. We can't get our behinds going to go out.
61 days until spring.
Breakfast - Oatmeal
Lunch - Meals on Wheels - Swedish meatballs, noodles, carrots, peas and apricots
Dessert/Snack - Cheesecake and decaf coffee
Dinner - Strawberry yogurt

Be extra careful when you do go out. Around here there are so many more cases of Covid and with weird symptoms like a face rash and heartburn.

@LindaOHio A friend of ours and her husband were terribly sick from Covid. She had a rash all over her face and swollen lips. He coughed so hard for so long that he developed a hernia. My niece and several of her family members had heartburn and didn't even realize it was covid until they got tested.

@1creekgirl How awful! I'm so sorry. Some people are also experiencing long COVID-19. The symptoms go on for months.

Really?!!! It seems like it keeps changing. We also are having a lot of cases of seasonal flu and there is still RSV.

Nothing much going on here, either... I do have to go to the doctor's office this morning, though. She wanted to vampire me yesterday but forgot to tell me it was fasting labs so I ate breakfast before we left. I have to go in a little bit to have blood drawn. I feel like I'm starving. 
I had scrambled eggs with smoked turkey, onions and bell peppers for breakfast, two oranges for lunch and mixed veggies with a little butter and spices for dinner...
Pretty doesn't want to get up this morning so won't be going with me. I thought we were going grocery shopping after the blood draw. 
That means I'll have to get dressed again later today to take her shopping. *sigh* Sometimes she's a pain in my tush. 
I hope you aren't getting any of the white stuff... Have a good day.

I need to get my fasting labs done too. I've been putting it off. We had rain all night. No white stuff. It's been above freezing for a few days. Thanks. You have a good day too.

@LindaOHio Thanks. I'm back from being vampired... The nurse told me she left me just enough blood for me to make it home and fall into bed.

Your lives sound like mine. We lead pretty boring lives and we haven't gotten our boosters or flu shot. Shame on us! If I get the flu again it will be my fault.

Love the lighthouse photo!
I wish I could spend more time at home. Went out to dinner with friends last night and again tonight. Trying to do things around the condo such as cleaning and more laundry. Hubs finally gave up and brought his shirts to the dry cleaner. lol

Lately we are just old stick-in-the-muds. It's hard for me to get around which is part of it; but the rest is I just don't feel like going out.
