They're all sick

My nephew works in retail and he has been battling a head cold, he got better and none of us caught it.
My brother is working with this guy that won't stay home when he is sick. His boss told him he would beat his butt if he caught it and took it to the elderly he takes care of.
Well my brother got sick a couple days ago and didn't go to work, he respects people.
Yesterday my sister in law woke up sick.
It rained and was cool all day so I volunteered to go get my nephew at work and pick up food for her, the rest of us ate left over homemade chicken soup.
My sister in law of all people didn't need to catch this, she just got over pneumonia, she was in the hospital a week, Christmas day and after.
Why can't people stay home when they're sick?

Because most bosses don't care if you're sick. They want you at work anyway. If you don't work, you can't pay your bills.

@andriaperry Most people don't believe in Covid and the ones that do believe it's real will still go in to work anyway. No work, no money.
That's the reason Pretty and I still won't eat in restaurants. If you can't see the people making your food, how do you know they aren't sick and you'll get sick from eating the food they made?

@MarieCoyle Oh, yeah... that's how most employers are here. It's really bad in some states.

I sure wish they would. I have a very compromised immune system and so does my son, I am his caregiver part of the time. We both take precautions to avoid illness. It totally makes me sick when I hear of someone or read here or wherever that people have run errands, gone to the grocery, and so forth, when they were positive with Covid. I've heard, oh, they wore a mask, they stood away from others, and so forth. That doesn't fly with me. I am sorry your sister-in-law is ill.
I hope you stay well!

@mariecoyle that makes me so mad when people know they have corona and don’t stay in as well! People don’t care enough about others. My mom who is a germaphobe was saying she could go out after 5 days I said I’d stay in for 10. She tends to only care if she catches things but doesn’t worry enough about who she gets sick. It’s always just allergies … nope!

They are not thinking, not at all. They can pass it on to others and it can kill them. Going to the store can be done by someone else if they have Covid. Makes me so angry when I hear of this.

I stay home more often now than I used to. I get more exhaustion than illness, though. If I catch something it usually is from the kids at work.

My grandson in kindergarten brings home every kind of illness that there is, I think. I get the kid thing. We love them, but those little people can spread the germs.

Hopefully it will just be a light cold. If I am sick I stay home most the time but I am a stay at home mom so I can. My sister was going to be fired from her job as an aide at the school because she had to take so many days off to take care of her sick kids.

I'm so sorry that so many people were sick. I always had a tendency to work when I was sick too. Have a good week.

I won't run from sickness but I think people should stay home when it begins because that's when you catch it

Some people, even if they want to take a rest would likely to go out because of some responsibilities that no one else could do for them. But, if it's something that can infect with others, they should limit their exposure to people or never ever exposed.
