We Were Sabotaged!

Today I was supposed to meet April (@thislittlepennyearns ) for lunch. Apparently the authorities got wind of it and sabotaged our plans.
Seriously, April’s mother-in-law had surgery the other day, and her incision was hurting. If you’ve ever had that happen you know how frightening it can be. Heck, I was at the doctor not too long ago for some weird pain in a 40-year-old incision scar!
So we will reschedule it for when I head out. Meanwhile, the state can breathe a momentary sigh of relief.
And I’ll say this: the little place where we were going to eat serves a great grilled chicken sandwich!!!
Here’s the seat where April would have been sitting.

Linda, if you hurry you can get down here to Florida and pick us up and take us all to Key West with you. We can all eat lunch at Margaritaville and then drink some adult beverages at Sloppy Joe's and then watch the sunset on Mallary Square!

@moffittjc I am sitting here in a house with no heat or hot water and 7" of water in the basement. I can't think of anywhere I'd rather be than in Key West with you and Four Walls.!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you sure that April didn't get wind of the shenanigans we experienced during our lunch and she took off running as far away as she could get? Or maybe she thought you had Jeff cooties and didn't want to catch them! lol

It was hardly a disappointment, only that her family member is having difficulty with postoperative pain and I didn’t get to see her. The food was good and it’s not cold the way it is at home!

I am sorry for the mother of April and I KNOW what pain in a surgery incision means. My husband is dealing with this right now, both his hernia incision, one already 20 years old, hurt. At least you enjoyed a great grilled chicken sandwich.
