I had a moment of inspiration

I had been looking under and behind things for my phone. I checked the laundry.
I stripped the bed. . . it needed it anyway.
Monday through Thursday I have an alarm on my phone for a trivia game. It goes off every five minutes for an hour. When I did not hear it in the house, I took a flashlight and headed out to the car to see if I could hear it. I did.
Sure enough, when the alarm went off the phone lit up. I still needed the flashlight to find the dark colored phone in the dark in a dark floor board.
You might ask why I did not just try calling it. I did try that, but it is on vibrate only, because of work. I was so convinced it was in the house or at school that I did not try to see if I could hear it vibrate in the car. I did try it in the house.

Yay! I am glad you found it. Sure does save a lot of money and time not to have to replace it.

It saves both on frustration from having to do all of that and anxiety as well.

And you don’t have to worry about someone getting into your account.

We are being remarkably well. I just have minor things go on for me.

My portable landline phone has a button on the base unit that'll make the handset ring until I find it. But no such luck on cell phones, I guess.

Oh, someone, somewhere probably has it, but I have very simple, very inexpensive cell phones. I do remember what you are talking about on the landline, though.

@GardenGerty I believe there's an app that'll let you find somebody else's phone (I've come across people using it in a couple of novels).

Mine was missing about thirty hours. Yes, it had fallen out of my pocket, into the floor of the van.

If I set an alarm on my phone and it goes off,it will ring about one minute and stop. Then start again in four more minutes. If I hear it the first time, I hit "dismiss" then it will not ring again. Kind of the same as "snooze".

We were calling it, but we were looking inside. As luck would have it, it was face down in the floor of the car, so we did not see it light up.

@GardenGerty - It happens, my husband forgot his phone in the pocket of his jacket last week. It took a while to find it.

Did it still work? Hubby loses his debit card more often than I like.

@GardenGerty I’ve lost my covid vaccination card. I always keep it in my purse and I can’t think why I would take it out.

It is a good job you have a timed alarm on your phone ! However I haven't experienced the problem as looking for phone so far.

It was about a day and a half. The charge was almost gone. That is why I was relieved to think of that alarm and find it.
