When Bruno came to live with us he had a variety of toys and scratchers. My niece had bought this electronic fish for her elderly cat. He was not impressed.
The fish was given to Bruno. At my sister's house he would occasionally play with it. He is not interested at my house. In fact it gets lost. I found it under the chair when I dropped something else.
I guess Bitty had never seen it. She has found it quite fun and will pick on it when she is not picking on Bruno. Don't worry, Bruno is bigger and will tease back. It is all fun.
So this is a picture of Bitty, yesterday, wrestling with a mechanical fish. If you visit maybe you should bring your own fish.

Bitty had a good few minutes and may again on another day. She likes wrestling with Bruno better.

They probably got it at the pet store. It does look real but it is covered in a soft fabric.

I often am not fast enough to get pictures. I would love to get Bitty and Bruno a) grooming each other and b) killing each other. All in fun.

I think those fish are hilarious. How are you and your husband doing? I've been gone for a month due to computer problems.

Does it swim across the carpet?

It flops and wiggles like a fish you have caught and thrown on the river bank.

I will keep that in mind. Nico has a fish that is not mechanical, but it filled with crinkly paper. He doesn't play with it His favorite toy is a 3 tiered ball chasing toy. One day he had it over by one of the bedrooms, and the next day I found it way across the room..He chased and slid it all over the floor.

Both the cats are good at pushing things around the house.

I think just like with children, if you hide it away for a while it is "new" again.

One of my brothers gave my dad a fish plaque and the fish sang songs if you activated it... Mom hated it but dad loved it.
If that fish doesn't sing, I wonder if Bitty would like one that sings while swinging it's head around?

@GardenGerty I wish I knew who took it when dad passed away. I'd ask them for it to give to her.

At least someone likes it. I bought a new toy for the cats and two of them love it. Right now they all like the new family member Henry the Fish.

Well it seems they agree on something. They can be very entertaining when they play.

It is not very imaginative and eventually they lose interest. Bitty will play with almost anything.

If it keeps my toes in tact, maybe. I don't think Chilly would care. A lizard got into our bedroom, and Chilly just watched it.

Such a sweet picture. Buttons didn't play a lot with the toys we bought her. But throw down a milk cap and she'd play with it for hours.
Ginger doesn't play as much as she once did. She'll be with us 10 years in April, and she was 2-3 when she came to us.

I am really not sure how old Bruno is. He plays with Bitty which is good. He needs more exercise.Bitty will find and pick up random things to play with.
