Sharing Birthdate.

I have a brother whose birthday is the 18th of a month and mine is the 16th of the same month. We have a cousin whose birthday is the 17th of that same month...

Yes, many of my acquaintances have the same birthday as mine. So, sometimes we celebrate together. In the unit where I once worked, there were four of us, so it was always a grand celebration.

My brother and sister are twins and I was born on their 8th birthday. Then I have a great niece born on the same day and I once had a boyfriend who shared my birthday. I'm sure there are dozens of others.

A few years ago, I wrote an article on this very subject. I was prompted by my second granddaughter being born on my youngest niece's birthday. While I had believed such things unusual, my eldest son happened to have already researched and crunched some numbers. Considering there are 8 billion people in the world and only 365/366 days in a year, there would have to be a lot of people sharing a birthday. Of course, the larger the family the higher the likelihood of sharing a birthday. I remember sharing a birthday with one person at school. I also share my birthday with a few famous people. Other than that, I hadn't really thought about it. Now I know brothers who share a birthday several years apart, my niece and granddaughter, and my mum shares a birthday with both my mother-in-law and another niece. Furthermore, the latter 3 birthdays are within a week of another 3 family birthdays!

I have not yet found anyone who shared my exact birthday . . . but close (day before or day after ). You found a lot!
