I'm glad you had a wonderful weekend. I was very relaxed when the picture was taken. For a few minutes anyway. Then, I was back at work setting up our screen tent.

We haven't had a campfire yet. Last week it was rainy all day and into the evening on Friday and Saturday. This weekend, it began to rain just about the time we would have started the campfire. It only rained for a short time, but we decided to do without.

@sallypup K and I graduated from tents to a popup camper after our youngest son left for college. From that, we moved to a hybrid camper - hard sides, fold out beds like a popup. Now we have a 5th wheel. It is like having a small apartment we can take with us wherever we want to go.

That’s great you joined that group! There’s a park not far from me that has a group that calls themselves “The friends of” and the parks name. They do things like cut down trees that fall across paths etc. I love that rocking camp chair!

Ah, you look so relaxed

! The weather was on your side and you even got to roam a festival. We went to the last day of my daughter's art program - she had been in it for 7 years and received a scholarship today! Now we are relaxing at home.

My weekend sucks we had a nice day yesterday and now today we have got over 6 inches of snow but that is northern Michigan for ya. Glad you all had fun and you are enjoying your camping

@DWDavis — I was in Wilmington a few years ago, visiting the USS North Carolina. My uncle of blessed memory served on that ship in WWII.

@FourWalls I have toured The Showboat - her nickname - many times, having grown up in Wilmington. The best visits were when they had the Sound and Light Shows years and years ago and portrayed the ship fighting in WWII. I don't think they do that show anymore, but I haven't checked in a while.

It seems you really had a nice time. I love camping in the woods--as long as there is a camper with a bathroom! But it's nice to get to be outside before it gets too hot and buggy.

We prefer to visit here in the early spring and mid-autumn. Summer is so hot and humid, not to mention the traffic.
