Look where we went in our motor home

To me, a car has always been just a way of getting from A to B but I was a bit sad when we got rid of the motor-home which we purchased in Ireland some years ago. We had a total of eight months living in it over a period of two years. If you look at the photo, the dots show all the places we visited on our travels. I’m glad to have this map as travelling using just a GPS I mostly had no idea of where on a map we would be. I'm pretty impressed with us, that we travelled so far. On our second visit, we stayed in Ireland and France apart from when the ferry broke down and we had to disembark in Plymouth and drive to Wales to catch a ferry back to Ireland. If we weren’t quite so old, we’d do it all again. This is my last post for a while. I won’t have much opportunity to myLot for a few days now. Take care, everyone, and we’ll catch up again soon.

@DaddyEvil Not really but we had to ring up to find out how to get water to the shower. There is a string that you have to pull to get the water to run! lol

You certainly got good use out of that vehicle! I'm not surprised you were sorry to see it go. I smiled to see 'Czechia' on the map. My friend's partner is Czech and they call it that too - so much nicer and easier to say than 'The Czech Republic'!

The number of dots is impressive. I imagine that where the majority of the dots are in Ireland is where your son resides. Safe travels, as I know that you are on your way now.

We had a very slight accident with the vehicle and, as the body was fibreglass, the insurance company wrote it off. We got all our money back but didn't bother to buy another one. Hopefully I'll get some posts written over the next few days but I also need to read and respond to others' posts too.

@LadyDuck We didn't go into Italy at all. The dot on Rome is part of the map showing the capital. We also mostly avoided Spain as there was a lot of trouble in Barcelona at the time.

@CarolDM I never quite knew in which part of the continent we were in! We mostly went by the vehicle GPS and rarely got a good overview of where we were.
