The end? A MyLot shocker.

Today I went to play music with Mike and another music buddy. I was hungry and decided to make today the day of my bi-annual Big Mac Special. (I think they call them Big Mac Meals now.)
Big mistake.
The carbs made me feel like sleeping while we were playing music, and I came home with a big tummy ache. Is this the end of an era for me?
Have your tastes changed over the years? In High School, I could eat a Big Mac Special every day.
I am feeling better after a coupe of cups of buillon. I wonder if my McDonald's days are really over.

Hmm... I haven't eaten McDonald's food since the pandemic began... Pretty and I usually eat whatever I make at home or something we buy in the frozen department at Walmart. I don't know how my system would react if we went out to eat tomorrow... We have, twice, eaten with a friend at his house but that's not the same as going out to eat.
I'm glad you're feeling better, pony.

@TheHorse McDonald's is about two miles from us... The closest Arby's is over 50 miles away and we've never eaten there.

Particular foods still don't bother me; BUT I can't overeat. If I do I feel really bad for several hours. Have a good week.

We had a McDonald's dinner last night too. I usually get the fish filet. It is delicious wth cheese and tartar sauce.

@TheHorse I do not even like their French fries. You can easily make their secret sauce at home.
Mayo, ketchup, chopped yellow onion, sweet pickles relish, yellow mustard, white vinegar, cayenne pepper.
Searching online you can find the proportions to make the sauce. It's a sort of Tartar sauce with onion and cayenne added.

I prefer Burger King to McDonald’s. But I rarely go to either. Hope your tummy is doing better.

It is possible they are just making them differently than they used to. Or your body has gotten used to NOT eating them. It has been probably about five years since I ate at McDonald's. When they started making you order at a kiosk even inside, I gave up. Tried it twice and did not get what I intended. It was never a favorite for me anyway. I like Arby's sandwiches and Subway sandwiches. I like things we make at home best.

May be your digestive system is giving you some warning signal.
So may be you need to eat smaller portions when outside.
Often the outside food is not so good on the tummy unlike the homemade food.
So be careful next time.

My tastes have changed. You might have to stop eating them or eat when you know you can rest after

Always having to watch my budget I have not had fast food in ages, My favorite burgers were always from Burger King. At university in NYC at was always grabbing fast food and the closest was Mcdonald's and at one time I got the worst food poisoning ever. They were sloppy there on changing their grease,

I know what's in them, how they are fixed, and that's enough. Nope, nope...a Big Mac meal with fries and a drink--about 1200 calories of grease and sodium. That's my usual calorie limit for an entire day. I will continue to drive past McDonald's. I hope you enjoyed it...and yes, it may be the end of your Big Mac days. Which is a good thing, in my opinion.

I hope it is, too. I won't even ask you if it was worth it, I already know the answer. I hope you find some good for you food that tastes good today, to make up for the BM (get it?) disaster. Oh, and that you are done in the reading room for the day, as well.

When I was 12 and recovering from a hospital stay, I had gained weight and I could eat 2 Arby's original sandwiches with fries and a milk shake in one sitting. Now, the thought of 2 sandwiches like that, makes me feel bloated just thinking about it
