I wrote about LaMancha goats, a breed noted for an almost complete lack of ears. One of the principal goat-breeders that developed the LaMancha was Mrs Eula Fay Frey who lived in Bell, California.
Her husband had developed stomach ulcers and she put him on a strict diet, a major part of which was goat milk and tomato juice. This apparently cured him but unfortunately he died a few years after in an car accident.
I can’t help thinking what bad luck to have to endure such a diet and then die in a car crash.
The photo is of one of my nephew’s newborn Angora goats. She has nice long ears, hasn’t she?

People with stomach ulcers aren't supposed to have tomato juice. Tomato juice has as much acid as oranges.
And no, I'd rather have the ulcers. I don't like goat milk.
It's a pretty goat...

I think the tomato juice was mixed with the milk to reduce the acidity.

                    Yes, she does.
Tomato juice for stomach ulcers? Sure, why not? And while we're at it, let's have some battery acid as a chaser.

That's a shame about Eula's husband. I'm surprised he had tomato juice for an ulcer. It's very acidic. Cute goat. Enjoy your day.

@JudyEv I don't know. It would seem rather strange.

I heard that if someone can't have a milk (from cow which have a lactose) can be cured by goat milk.
But, the story so sad when he got cured then got accident

Yeah, I agree with that. Lactose problem can be fatal too. that's why they need to be very careful

What a lovely goat. I wonder if he had anything else besides tomato juice and goats milk.

I'm glad you have a way to control your ulcers. They would be very unpleasant I'm sure.

Never seen a goat with such long years The baby looks cute.
What a sad situation getting cured and then dying because of an accident.

That is one really cute goat, I f I could have a goat I would have it just for the cheese alone. I love goat cheese but too expensive to buy all the time,

After so much effort to cure him of stomach ulcers - it hardly seems fair.

                    The tomato juice is strange.
I still love no ears. But that baby is adorable too

Your nephews baby goat is so cute. Does she have a name?
That's a sad story about the man to be cured of his ailments and then die in a car accident. Goes to show when it's our time it's out time.

I don't think the little goat has been named yet. I'll find out Monday as we're going up to visit them.
