Hi to you all. I have not been around for quite some time but only popped my head in once in a while. Hopefully things are setlling down a bit now & I can get back in the swing of things once again.
The first four months of this year I finally managed to complete a full circumnavigation on a World cruise leaving Southampton & eventually returning four months later. It was absolutely amazing. The different countries we visited & iconic experiences were super, different cultures & foods very different extremes of weather. It took me about 2 months to get warm again as l felt so cold in May & June but then we have not had a brilliant summer since we got back.
I have noticed quite a few changes here. Friends l look out for no longer seem to be here. I hope that they are well. I hope they are just taking a break like l have been doing.
Well bavk to business again & l will fill you in on all the things we did hopefully it will be interesting!

It was absolutely amazing & despite being on board for four months it really only felt like a couple of weeks. I did not want it to end!

Glad to see you back. Yes, a few members are no longer active.
A few I know are less active and may be even likely to leave for some time.
Perhaps Global economic challenges are leading to people having lesser time online.
Anyways I am hopeful that you would find some really interesting discussions to check out.

I hope you'll have some interesting stories to tell, I always like hear about your travels.
Yes, many of those with whom I had a friendship have simply left and once in a while they might show up but I too miss them .... I missed you as well, glad you're back.

No she seems to have disappeared. She was a superb writer my favourite as her posts were always interesting & learnt something new in each post. I hope she will return one day.

! Your world cruise must've been fabulous! I can't even imagine 4 months of traveling - I've never even done 4 days. Yep - things have been a bit slow here

@MarieCoyle It was ok because l could talk to them frequently via whatsapp & wave to them too so they did see me & I them. Life is so much kinder to us all with all this wonderful technology.

I always thought it would be fun to do, but never would have done it if I had the opportunity--because of my children and grandchildren. I don't see them every day or anything, but I would miss them so much. I do like to see new places and try new things, and so forth. It sounds like literally the trip of a lifetime.

@garymarsh6 Bali is very popular with West Australians. It is cheaper to fly there than to the eastern states. Prices are cheap compared to 'home' so it's a great place to holiday. Having said that, I think we're the only West Aussies not to have been there. Vince's brother lives in the hill country there. He has a lung condition and the climate there suits him.
