So Biased

Like an awful lot of you, I do surveys to earn an extra bit of money. I have noticed some really odd surveys lately. One survey asked me which sentences were elevated thinking, and which were nonsense. One asked me if I knew the meaning of a bunch of words (I knew madrigal, but not enconium), and one was so biased I was insulted. It was obviously run by *****, a country known for so many human rights abuses it makes Putin cringe. The survey asked if I knew about a particular trade agreement, and how it benefited all of the countries surrounding it. Was I aware of how far above it ranked in the world’s consciousness because of it? I wondered how the heck that survey got on that site’s rotation?!

I roll through all my survey sites every morning and count up my points. Some of them are interesting, some boring, and some I wonder why they bother to ask. I have found out that most surveys on survey sites are just revolved around from site to site, But at least I do make some bucks now and then, One survey wanted to see if I was paying attention and asked me if I was in a coma I wish there had been room to tell them that after a couple of more surveys I will be

@RasmaSandra How about the question that asks if you went to the moon or Mars.

I gave up on even simple surveys as I found them boring and these are surely to be avoided like the plague

Unless one needs the money, and then you put up with it while trying to keep your eyes from crossing permanently.

It does make you wonder sometimes. I take 90 percent of my survey on a site that pays well, and that I trust, but every once in awhile a bad one will make it through their sensors. I took a really strange one, not on that site, this as several years ago...that consisted of looking at big spiders...were they trying to check how many you could look at before you got grossed out?? I have no idea.

I thought about doing surveys but probably don't have the patience for it. It is kind of weird how that survey came around and that you had to answer it.

I quit for a long while because I was tired of the nonsense, but I want to be able to buy good Christmas presents for people so I ended my two year break. I’ve been able to help a few people also, and that gives me so much joy, you know?

I gave up on surveys. I rarely qualified and it became mostly a waste of time.

I got sick of that too until I found survey sites that rewarded you even when you didn’t qualify. That totally changed it for me.

I can't make myself do those surveys. I think often they just ask too many unnecessary questions, or are downright nosy. I think I will get my mad money by picking up pennies...haha!

I don’t answer the really nosy ones. Like the one who offered $150 Amazon card to record my face as I watched movie previews through my phone. I said nope.

@AmbiePam I will not let anyone use my camera because I do not want anyone recording me. Mine has duct tape over it on my lap top.

@AmbiePam I just don't like them. I can't get into it. I would rather sell unneeded items or something. I'm glad you found some you can do. I wouldn't want my face recorded, either. That's just wrong, you would probably end up on a TikTok video. Ugh.

The weird ones have been Crowdtap and SurveyJunkie, ones you don’t do (anymore for nosy SJ). Bless MyPoints, all of their surveys are normal.

@AmbiePam .. I tried many survey sites ... As it works good in foreign countries I don't know why it's not working good in my country... I haven't been paid for survey.

I stopped doing surveys, most of the time I spend time to answer questions and at the end I receive the message that my country is not qualified.

They should have asked you about that up front. That’s so annoying.

@AmbiePam This is also my opinion, first you check the country, they you start with the questions. It's cheating.

Heh. I once worked for a political campaign after its opponent sent me (via phone call) a pretend survey that was actually propaganda. We (the good guys, not the propaganda senders) won!
