@rebelann I remember the group. I used to drive my parents nuts when I was studying and had my radio or record play going and would have them on. I just checked Ebay and I may get one of their CD's for remembrance purposes. I loved a mixed bag of music, rock n roll, classical, and so much more.

Perhaps it was only played in the US.

That is true. I recently heard a song that was popular in Europe but never made it to the US.

Yeah, you iz young ..... Oddly enough those sock hops were a left over of the 1950s and here in El Paso many still preferred the 1950s including the music. I happened to live among military families who'd bring in up to date music so by 1965 the school I was in had 90% Army brats. At the time it was also the newest high school and most any undesirable students from other schools ended up in mine and they created the gang associated with my school.

You were lucky .... I wish I'd been raised on a farm, life is more realistic in general.

I just wanted to dance, I didn't care a twig for any of the kids.
