Enjoyed A Beautiful Sunset Yesterday

Happy Veteran's Day, a day late, to all of those who served our country. Was sitting in the screen room late evening and noticed the sky started turning pink and orange.
Snapped this photo with my iPhone from the deck. I call it my 11-11 sunset. The colors were breathtaking. Nature never ceases to amaze with its beauty. These little things help make my life much happier. Many take sunsets and other things in life for granted. Life is too short. We should all put our phones and devices down. Look around, look up, and take it all in.
Brendel had a rough night but is sleeping on her heating pad now. She is napping most of the days now. Sleeping fairly well at night. I was up 3-4 times last night. She only wanted me to pet her and talk to her. Wasn't hungry. I just hope she is not in pain. She ate her food with her Gabapentin, so that should help any pain she is having.

Thanks very much. I enjoy these winter sunsets from the deck. Brendel is consuming all of my time. But I made her a promise to take care of her. And I will continue as long as it takes. The Dude is good. He gets his neck rubs every day. And he keeps an eye on Brendel. Amazing how they know when things are off. Thanks for asking, he is snoring on the sofa now.

I had the SSDI hearing with the judge on October 31st. I just have to wait and see what she says now. Thanks.

Nature really is amazing and that sunset gorgeous.
I agree that we should look up and around more often and enjoy the beauty of nature.
I'm sure Brendel likes your loving touch and gets comfort from you being near.

That is a very pretty sunset, you always capture them so well! Colors never turn out right with my camera.

@CarolDM I did read that about using your iPhone. I have never had an iPhone....guess that is what I need to get. My DSLR camera never was that good at capturing the true colors either. Maybe that is user error though

@MommyOfEli2013 I love my phone. The camera is the best part. I had to learn a lot with different DSL's over the years. So easy with this phone.

Gorgeous! I have not seen such colors in the sky in a long time. I agree - all devices need to be put away and kept away - observe and live real life! Sweet Brendel - she is comforted and much loved. Continued thoughts for you, Brendel and the Dude!

I'm glad you got to enjoy a breathtaking sunset. It's been raining here in north Florida for 4 solid days now, so I will be very happy when I finally get to see a sunset (hopefully by this weekend).
Sorry to hear about Brendel's rough night, but I'm glad you are there to provide comfort.

That's a very beautiful Sunset. The western side faces my bedroom window. I can see this almost everyday but I have to close my window because of mosquitos.

Thank you Marie. I enjoyed this one for several minutes. I will be here for Brendel no matter what. I just have to learn to take deep breaths to keep the stress away when the walls start closing in. My thoughts are everywhere. The holidays approaching, so many emotions. A day and sometimes a moment at a time works.
