Today is Black Friday. As some of you may be doing some online shopping, here's a reminder -- Porch pirates are everywhere these days. Make sure you snap that package off the porch as soon as it arrives!!!
Hope all of you in the US had a really good Thanksgiving. We had a good day; but hubby had to work way too hard. Don't know what we will do next year.
Space scientists are trying to understand the source of a mysterious cosmic ray that was observed in Utah. It came from beyond our Milky Way galaxy.
A Norovirus outbreak has been linked to a $1 burrito special from a restaurant that offered this deal to Northwestern University students. Patrons reported stomach cramps, vomiting and diarrhea after eating at the restaurant. The Evanston Health and Human Services Department reported that the restaurant does not have an employee health policy. The virus likely was spread via the food by someone that did not wash their hands diligently.
Air pollution from coal-fired facilities has turned out to be more deadly than originally reported. Exposure is associated with a 2.1x greater mortality rate than particle pollution from other sources. Instead of being expelled when you exhale, particles can get stuck in your lungs or enter your bloodstream. This can lead to respiratory problems, chronic kidney disease, cancer, stroke, heart attack, can aggravate asthma and cause depression and anxiety.
116 days until spring!
Breakfast - None
Lunch - Thanksgiving!!! Turkey, dressing, gravy, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, corn and Hawaiian rolls
Dessert - Cheesecake and pumpkin pie with a ton of Cool Whip
Dinner - None
What did you eat yesterday???

The unfortunate thing is if all Amazon Prime delivery drivers ran the doorbell when the package was delivered, it would cut down in the stealing. Unfortunately, they only ring or knock 50% of the time. They work so hard though that I understand they want to move fast. It’s not their fault; it’s the thieves fault.
Yesterday, I had egg, sausage, spinach, cheddar and Gouda filled egg muffins for breakfast and lunch. Dinner was chicken tikka masala, and my snack was popcorn.

Happy Thanksgiving to you as well.
We had the usual fare. Turkey, ham, sweet potato casserole, macaroni and cheese, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, dirty rice and that sort of thing.
Everything was delicious and lots of leftovers. I even got to bring home the carcass and ham bone, so there will be soups.

A happy belated Thanksgiving to you and your husband!
We did not partake in Black Friday. Instead we took a family walk at a local ranch/park. Cosmic ray - ohhhh, I must look for images! Ugh about the norovirus outbreak - that stinks when it did not have to spread. Air pollution affects everyone - just great that it's way worse than originally thought.

Yeah but I'm wondering if these young scientists can be trusted, so far I'm not convinced they know what they're talking about kinda like those blasted fools some 40 or so years ago who had so many people believing that margarine was healthy.

Sorry! I am interested in all things medical and things that are about pollution and global warming.

Every restaurant should have an employee health policy.
Yesterday: Breakfast - Raisin Bran and a banana. Thanksgiving dinner - Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes with sour cream and garlic, sweet potato pie w/marshmallows, green bean casserole, fresh cranberry sauce, fruit salad w/sugar free whipped topping, and deviled eggs. No dessert. I only gained one pound on the scale this morning.

@LindaOHio It was. My son's girlfriend took a lot of leftovers. I have enough for today, but that's okay. It was all delicious.

I didn't buy anything on Black Friday, don't usually anyways. The turkey and mashed potatoes sound good.
Sorry it was a lot of work for him.

@MommyOfEli2013 It's OK. Can't be helped. There's no one to invite us over to their house for Thanksgiving except hubby's cousins; and they really don't care.

I track the Amazon delivery van on the app. When I’m not using a free trial of Prime I have things shipped to an Amazon locker. If it’s something big I’ll have them deliver it to my house (like the whopping 43” TV [most people are probably wondering why I “only” have a 43” TV!
), but I don’t mind going to the UPS store or an Amazon locker to make sure I get what I ordered.
Turkey and dressing and taters, both meals. Plus peaches.

@LindaOHio - I am glad you enjoyed your meal. I know that Amazon drivers are so stressed because they are asked to deliver quickly, but this is a wrong policy, because too many packages are stolen.

@LadyDuck There are also Amazon drivers that take pictures of the package and then steal it. I've seen videos of it. Have a great week..

With all this going on in the world I just might choose to hibernate in my apartment till the New Year. Sounds like you had a delicious Thanksgiving dinner, I had two hot dogs, no buns, and fries today yesterday was the turkey dinner.
