Black Friday and Cyber Monday

Happy Wednesday Everyone! winter doesn't officially arrive for a few more weeks but yesterday and today the temperatures are hovering around the freezing mark and it's downright cold outside. Since our pup got her haircut yesterday she definitely needs her sweater to go outside. Today my goal is to sort through the Christmas gifts that I bought and see what I have and what I need. I have a habit of shopping willy nilly and then have more for one person and less for someone else. I am determined this year to be more organized. I got some good sales between Black Friday and Cyber Monday and I feel glad that I was able to stretch my money especially with the prices on everything being so high. It's probably early for many of you to be talking about the holidays but I'm already in the holiday spirit. Did you take advantage of any Black Friday or Cyber Monday sales?

@Marilynda1225 Our holiday of Hannuka starts around December 13th this year and goes for 8 days so I have to buy candles and other things for it. I have never done anything for Black Friday. We have it here too in Israel. I am not sure if it will be Blue Friday or something because of the war going on here that started Oct. 7th when Hamas did what they did in the South and also burned people alive and murdered and kidnapped not only men but women, children, toddlers and elderly and some have been released and a ceasefire in effect on our side but who knows what they are doing. The war will go on a long time because our soldiers can finally do what they have been trained to do. I hope they can get them all and we can finally enjoy our Jewish holidays and live in peace.

How you shop reminds me of my mother. I set a budget so it may look like one got a lot more but it’s all the same cost.

No. I will buy things when these sales end. Here things are even more expensive when it's Black Friday.

Did you find that the deals on Black Friday were better than the ones on Cyber Monday? I shopped both occasions online, and my better sales were online Black Friday deals. I might have gotten one gift too many, but I didn’t want to forget anyone.

I did that last evening, checked the boxes that I have gifts in for the family members, taking stock and waiting on a couple of more items before I can close the boxes and wrap them up. I got lucky and got a few items for the twins from Black Friday sales. I just realized that since I got each of their initials (in chocolate) I will not use a bow on their gifts, just lots and lots of ribbon and will use the letter for each of them. That should be fun in the eye's of a little one, especially if it is just for them and not something to be shared.

This year I bought nothing. We need absolutely nothing, I thought better not to waste money.

Not this year, but last year I got my television on Black Friday from Best Buy. It was a very good deal. I'm glad you found some good deals on Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

When I had a lot of gifts to get, I used to shop all year around. I would end up with extra gifts. Now we just need to buy two gift cards; and that's already done. The only Black Friday "shopping" that I did was sign up for Hulu at $.99 per month for a year. Can't beat that with a stick. Have a great day.

I did not get any deals. I did buy a heated throw for Bob's sister in New Hampshire.

It's gotten colder here too. Definitely feels like winter. I don't usually take advantage of the deals.

No I didn’t take advantage of the sales. Woke to snow falling this morning (it was not in the forecast) Thankfully it was only a dusting as we had to head to Moncton early this morning.

I have been keeping a calendar with my mood and when I wake up and go to sleep for almost two years now for my doctor so I bought a calendar for next year. It was a Cyber Monday deal that was originally $9.99 and I got it for $5.99. It should be delivered on Friday! Have a great Christmas!
