Thanksgiving Pizza (Would you eat it?)

I was taking a survey, and they asked about the Thanksgiving pizza DiGiorno’s came out with before Thanksgiving. For those of you who don’t know, DiGiorno is a frozen pizza brand, and it’s one of the better ones (tagline: It’s not delivery, it’s DiGiorno’s). The pizza had gravy for sauce, topped with turkey, cranberry sauce, mozzarella cheese, sweet potatoes, green beans, with a crispy onion topping. A couple of people in the video tried it, and said it wasn’t bad. Would you try it? I like macaroni and cheese pizza, spinach Alfredo pizza, and taco pizza, but I’m not sure about this one.

I like pepperoni and cheese on my pizza. Turkey is to be eaten separate with other items not as a pizza. Anyway that is how I want my pizza.

@jstory07 I have never tried it, but it doesn’t sound great. I would try it over anchovies though.

DiGiorno’s is good for a frozen pizza. I like I thinks its Totino's too but they always sold out and they significantly raised their prices to where we just do not buy them much anymore. The turkey thing is interesting and I will try anything once, whether I like it or not is a different story.

I need them to take the green beans off of it.

No, I know without trying that mixing all those ingredients together is not something I would enjoy.

The green beans put it over the top for me. Not that the other toppings sounded good.

I would definitely try it. I don't like onions as a rule; but I do like the crispy ones. I'll have to check online for it. Have a great day.

@LindaOHio I looked up the clip I saw, and they said it was only available through November. I bet they bring it back next year though.

@AmbiePam I didn't see it anywhere that I checked. Maybe I'll look at the DiGiorno website.

For me, when it comes to pizza, I don't want it to be all that creative. I just want it to be pizza. This one sounds particularly bad IMO, and so even if I wanted to try something "different," this would not be one on my list.

I wonder if they sold a lot of it. I guess if they bring it back next year, we’ll know for sure.

@AmbiePam I don't know, actually. I imagine there are enough people that like it. I know it's not the first year they have done it...at least I don't think so. I swear I have seen this before. I guess we will have to wait and see.

I have never tried a frozen pizza. Not such a big fan of pizza as such( I have it once in blue moon). And not at all a fan of frozen food. I prefer fresh ones.

It’s good not to rely on frozen dinners such as pizza.

I am a big fan of everything on my pizzas. This does not sound like something I would like. I have made my own pizza with cooked chicken, cheddar cheese, mushrooms, and a white gravy,

@ambiepam we had a “festive pizza” out last week and it lacked any joy whatsoever. It had less toppings than any nirmal pizza and it was just bland.

Reading the toppings looks like it's a good one. Just wondering how cranberry sauce taste. Been used to using tomato based sauce. Haven't also tried gravy for sauce.

Cranberries are tart and sweet. They actually go well with savory things like meat and bread.

Hmmmmm. I think I would try it, but it doesn't mean I would like it . If it's gravy sauce instead of the tomato-y sauce, maybe then it's like Tday stuff on stiff bread, so unlike normal pizza.

Oh no, what a way to ruin a good Italian pie. Actually, if my family only had pizza (homemade not frozen) for Thanksgiving I wouldn't mind, just keep the desserts, lol.
