I think the world has gone completely and totally crazy. This is a post from a police department in Missouri. This woman actually tried to swap her little girl for a pink Stanley cup. A cup! Some people have no heart, and should not ever have children. I am not even sure if they should even be allowed to breathe air, but that's for another conversation. I am simply...astounded! St. Joseph, Missouri Police Department 4 January at 18:16 ยท Women allegedly tries to trades her kid for new Starbuck's PinkStanley cup. Sasha Douglas, 32, of St. Joseph Missouri was arrested Thursday afternoon without incident. Detectives say they found Facebook market messages between Sasha and another woman. In the messages Sasha told a woman that she would give up her 4 year old daughter for a new Starbuck's Pink Stanley cup. In the messages Sasha says "Hey you trying trade for my little baby? She's potty trained and knows her alphabet and numbers. She sleep in too lol" The person that was selling the cup didn't respond and sent the messages to detectives. Sasha is being held on no bond and is awaiting a court date.

It is good the mother was arrested. But her post sounds as though she was only joking and was never serious about trading her baby.

@mildredtabitha If it's really true (and who really knows until it's all over) I hope she is punished.

Evidently, the police and investigators felt she was serious.

@MarieCoyle - I have read horrible stories of neglect children. I wonder why people have children if they do not want to take care of them.

@LadyDuck I honestly think some of them are simply too lazy to use birth control. And some never think they will get pregnant. Then there are others that simply don't care, of course, and leave it up to nature. It is to the point in this world that people need to think when you have children, they need to be provided for--preferably by the parent(s). It involves time, patience, understanding, giving up a lot of what a lot of people don't want to give up, money...being a parent is a huge responsibility that some people never take seriously.

You have to hope that someone else raises that child. When I hear of things like this, it makes me wish the person could never, ever have any more children.

Some people do not deserve the honor of being a parent. I hope she doesn't have any more children, ever. She would probably try to trade them for a car or a trip or something. People never cease to amaze me, Judy!

I hope she is removed from that parent. That seems it would be the best thing, but that's just my opinion.

Its amazing that a person who cannot understand that doing something like this is wrong, but still thinks it is right to have children. I wonder where the father is?

It certainly is. I may not be the best parent, but I honestly know I give it my best effort.

That is what is called insanity and that women's last screw has fallen out, That little girl will be lucky to get away from that woman and hopefully find a family who loves her,

She certainly shouldn't have said what she did, if this is all true, the little girl will hear about it all someday from someone. Can you imagine how you would feel, knowing your mother didn't value you more than that?

That really is just shocking - even if it was done as a joke which doesn't seem the case.

If she was joking, she's learned a hard lesson. If she was serious, she needs mental help.

This is what happens when we live in a world, I guess, where being a mother is apparently a choice. I mean, at what point do we say it's not okay? I mean, NORMAL people find this crazy. But abort to not be a mother or choose to trade your kid for a cup? The slippery slope gets talked about often and few people realize where this sort of thinking ultimately leads us.

Yes. I often think along those lines when I read or hear of extreme neglect and abuse of children.

Even if she was joking that is a horrible attitude. That child is not even a baby anymore, and sounds like a great kid. Not sure what is going on in that persson's mind. Good for the seller to report her.
