Burger King cook who never missed a day of work gets a home thanks to donors

Burger King employee Kevin Ford get a reward from donations from GoFundMe

Kevin Ford who works as a cook with Burger King at the airport in Las Vegas has an impressive record of never missing a work day was rewarded by his employer with is described as junk gifts from his employer. Thanks to his daughter Seryna who started a campaign to raise money so her father could buy a home in Pahrump Nevada. The money raised from GoFundMe which was around $500,000 dollars before GoFundMe took their share of the money raised. Kevin then bought a home on December 13 with the price tag being $177,000 dollars. Kevin is grateful that his daughter used social media to ask for donations from the public. @Deepizzaguy He either likes his job or he has no choice but to go to work and make some money. I am so glad his daughter did that for him and he has a home now. Is he employee of the month because he never misses a day of work? I also learned about hard work when I was young. I am glad they made enough to buy a home before GoFundMe took their share.

I am not sure if this really illustrates hard work pays off if he was GIVEN the money to buy a home rather than worked hard, saved and invested to buy one himself.

I wonder how much was GoFundMe's share of the funds. A lot of charities make big money on the side like this for themselves, while doing some good, so questions of their real goals are never looked at too deeply. At least, Kevin, was able to buy a house, and it seems that the price was reasonable too.
