7 February - What I'm Thankful for Today

Good afternoon from a warm Green Bay, Wisconsin. It's hoodie weather. I don't know what it got to, but the high was supposed to be 45 today. I just turned on the weather, so I'll soon see what it got to today.
It's been a good and busy day, hense no morning brief.
I'm thankful I got the groceries taken care of this morning. My son's girlfriend picked me up to go to Hy-Vee at 6:30 this morning. My bill came to $288.43. I used my UCard, FoodShare card, and Hy-Vee gift card I got for Christmas. That brought my bill to $27.82 coming out of my checking account. I call that a win at the grocery store. I also earned .55 per gallon for gas. Though I don't have a car, I can help someone with gas.
I'm thankful for the exercise class when I got home from the store. It was time to go down when I got the groceries put away. Between the walking through the grocery store and the nine miles on the bike, I got all my steps.
I'm thankful for rock painting today. My phone is low on battery so the pictures aren't loading. I brought the bird rock home today. It looks great!
I'm thankful for the scale this morning. With what I ate at the restaurant at Writer's Guild, it could have been worse than it was. I only gained a few ounces. 
With no time to eat this morning before I left, I also ate breakfast at the ADRC, but kept it reasonable. So the scale should be good again tomorrow.
I'm thankful I have the notifications finished. It's always good to see what you're doing in your part of the world.
Okay, that's my day. I still have prayer tonight, in half an hour. So, I'll post this and head downstairs. What are you thankful for today? Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me. The uncompleted bird.

I'm thankful to see George seems to be doing okay. He's really tired, but I did get him to drink something today. So I take each thing I can get him to do as a win.

Nice rock! 243 at the grocery store...?? For just you? I never spend more than 50 or 60 bucks at a time. Impressive savings though.

@just4him I do, I commented on it again this AM. Do you know what you are making pastor and his wife? i had one over to my apartment one time,,,and made smothered pork chops. Mine have never turned out as good as my mothers were.

@snowy22315 I'm making a pot roast with carrots, potatoes, and onions, smothered in barbeque sauce. I've made it several times for myself, and it's always mouthwatering delicious. I'm also making a lettuce salad, so I picked up those fixings yesterday. Dessert is apple crisp with French vanilla ice cream. I'm looking forward to it. I start cleaning today. I also bought the smallest can of Folger's Classic Roast coffee. I have permission to use the coffeemaker in the community room. I don't drink coffee. I found two mugs in the housewares area of the store that are perfect for my pastor and his wife. I am really looking forward to Monday night.

No. I'm having a dinner party on Monday for my pastor and his wife, so some of it was for that. But yes, most of it was for me. I have one big shopping day a month. This time, I needed more than food. I needed TP and paper towels too, dish soap, and other basic necessities that rarely get into a regular shopping trip. It was stock up time for those items.

My day went some what good till I had a sugar issue
but I won't go into that, cause it wasn't good, but I'm o.k
I'll just say this, I'm thankful that it didn't put me in the hosp.

Counting all my blessings, I have acquired $25 in Walmart gift cards from survey sites and will cash in some more tomorrow so on Saturday will be a great grocery order day for me,

@everwonderwhy Sounds intriguing, but I already have a full schedule.
I looked over the site. I thought about signing up, but for me to list my books, I would need a platinum membership. I don't have that kind of money. The free membership is nice, but it wouldn't promote my work.
