I am Sick Today

Yesterday, my throat was burning and I started feeling bad. Jay was sick last week, I guess now it's my turn to fight, whatever this is.
He is still coughing, but feels a lot better today.
I won't be going to church tomorrow, I don't want to spread this to anyone else. Two weeks ago, our friend Kevin was sick. I guess Jay caught it from him and then brought it home to me.
I layed down for an hour, but couldn't sleep. The coughing is almost nonstop and my head is stopped up.
Jay took an antihistamine from WalMart, which helped a lot. Maybe I will take one at bedtime, to help me sleep tonight.

I currently have two friends with Covid. One is really, really sick. Be careful and take care of yourself, Kharla! If you need to try to rest, try a recliner if you have one--if you don't lie flat, it seems to help not to cough so much. I fought a bad cold about a month ago, no fun at all!

@MarieCoyle Covid is crazy. Hubby and I had it about a month ago. I felt totally stepped on plus I just couldn't hardly think from one minute to the next. Hubby then got pneumonia, too. Over two weeks before either of us started to feel a bit stronger.

Sadly, it does often lead to pneumonia. And pneumonia alone just knocks me out, let alone adding Covid on top of it. I didn't know you had it recently, hope you are on the good road to recovery now, Lenore.

I hope you feel better soon. I am missing church today because I had some symptoms like my student had Friday. At least four of the students who home base from our room seemed to have ailments. My kiddo acted like his stomach hurt and had chills. And slept. Fell better soon. If you like dark chocolate, dissolving some in your mouth actually helps with the cough. It can even be chocolate chips.

I went to the ER a couple of weeks ago and they had the “mandatory masks” signs back up. At the time it was more for the flu than anything else, though.
