Banana bread time!

We have a bit of a backlog of eggs at the moment, so I thought I would do some baking. I haven’t done any for a while and when we do it tends to be the same sort of things (partly because we have a lot of the same fruit in the freezer!) so I fancied a change.
I broke out some of my older recipes I haven’t used in ages and decided to make banana bread, since as well as all the eggs we also have a heap of reduced ripe bananas my partner brought home the other day.
Unfortunately I’m the only one who likes banana bread, believe it or not, but that’s more fool the rest of them I guess. I’m enjoying eating it and sharing it with visiting friends.
In fact I’d forgotten quite how much I like it and I should really make it more often and not worry about everyone else!!

I love banana bread and Nigella does a great version. I’ve never made her version, but watched her do it many times.

Who is Nigella?
Nigella Lawson is a famous (over here) cook, who has written (or is it “wrote”?) lots of cookery books and had many TV shows where she has me (and many others) mesmerised by her food and beauty. One of her grandma’s is Italian, so she was bound to be a good cook. And beautiful of course!

Never heard of Nigella Lawson, she is surely NOT famous here.
I am reading of her in Wikipedia... I see nowhere that she had Italian ancestry, both her parents were from Jewish families.

I just might have a baking bug. All caused by your picture. It is their loss if they do not like banana bread.

It's a good use of bananas before they spoil.
My friend makes banana muffins with chocolate chips in them. And they are SWEET!!!

@Fleura Yes, it's not something that comes to mind, is it? Chocolate Chip muffins yes, but banana is different.

@dgobucks226 And I'm not one of those people who feels the need to add chocolate to absolutely everything. I usually add sunflower seeds to mine.
