He's been sniffling and coughing for a few days. He may have caught what I have through his cousin coming to visit him.
One of the physical therapy guys wasn't there yesterday; so hubby worked on the machines. Didn't get any walking exercises.
Called the Business Office to find out about getting a refund of our payment. We keep missing each other.
Thank you for your continued support, prayers and thoughts. They are appreciated so much!

I know the frustration of calling an office and getting no one. Or they don't call back. So, so frustrating.
Those machines they have provide a good way to build up strength and muscles, so that is good, anyway. He will need that to walk, so it's all relevant. I am just sorry he is coughing and getting sick. I hope he can stave it off. Nursing facilities are unfortunately a great place to get those nasty bugs and they just make the rounds, over and over. So frustrating.

He also could have gotten sick from any visitor at the facility coming in. I am glad he could work on the machines at least.

I was hoping by not going to see him he wouldn't get it; but I guess his cousin was a carrier.

I hope his sniffling and coughing doesn't turn into a full-blown cold that would slow him down or hinder him from making progress on his therapy.

@LindaOHio That's good. Hopefully he's also getting all the proper nutrition and rest he needs to fight off any colds or viruses he may have.

@moffittjc The meals are terrible. Some days he can't identify what it is he's eating...and they're all too salty.

@LadyDuck The cousin that's been seeing him is the nurse. She said she would wear a mask because she has been exposed to me!

I'm sorry he caught a cold from his cousin. I hope he feels better soon.
Every bit of therapy helps, even the machines. I hope he can walk today.
I hope you can get hold of the business office soon to get a refund of the payment you made.

I hope he doesn't get pneumonia. We've had 2 pneumonia shots so maybe not.

Good luck on that refund! I am guessing that they will tell you they will apply it as a credit as long as he is still there and refund you later. They are all so shady!! Good luck with this and your meeting tomorrow!

We paid $9,000 to the facility for the next 30 days. Physical therapy charges would have been on top of that. We won the appeal to keep him in the facility; so we should get a refund.

@lovebuglena Except that the Social Worker called today and said that insurance wants him out tomorrow. We will be back on self-pay until and if we win another appeal.
