Hubby is doing well. They still have not continued to try him on the steps or work with him getting in and out of bed. I'm going to have to do something about that. Got our second phone bill since hubby's been using his cell phone. $250. I am going to have to change the account to unlimited minutes. The usual bill is around $22. I will be going to visit him today with an order from McDonald's, his Tootsie Roll Pops, Hershey's Kisses, Dr. Pepper, A&W Root Beer and granola bars. It's like making a shopping trip before seeing him. Thank you for your continued support, prayers and thoughts. Photo Credit: Pixabay

I am sure he will be more than happy to see you. Better to switch to unlimited minutes until your husband needs to call you every day.

Yup. Took care of that about 1/2 hour ago. Now we can talk as long as we want to.

I'm so glad he is doing well. I bet he enjoys the treats. I haven't had an A&W Rootbeer in ages.

@LindaOHio For some reason, I had it in my head your husband was a diabetic. No doubt I confused him with someone else, I do that sometimes. Tootsie rolls are one of my least favorite kinds of candy. Something about the texture gets me every time I try to eat one. Ugh.... Glad to hear he enjoyed his food.

@MarieCoyle Yes he was diagnosed as a diabetic; but anytime they take his blood, his glucose level is OK. He should not be eating all those sweets and drinking sugar soda; but he insists.

I'm sure he will we waiting for all those treats!! And yes, unlimited phone calls for now would save you money on the bill. I wonder if the rehab will try to charge you for physical therapy for all the days he didn't get it?? Something to watch out for!

@LindaOHio Good! You have to keep track!! Be ready to combat their billing, if they do try to charge you for days he didn't get PT!!

@LindaOHio I guess it cuts their costs if people bring their own food... I wonder if hubby could order in pizza?

@BarBaraPrz We could bring it in; but I'm sure he couldn't have it delivered. He doesn't have any $$ anyway.

Unlimited minutes sounds good. Yes, by all means get to the bottom of that PE plan. Maybe You should add ensure to the list. I was just sitting here thinking..I should buy some that for friend. He needs to put some weight on.

@LindaOHio Seems crazy they don't have it there. Maybe when you come for your visits you could bring him a six pack if they make it like that

@snowy22315 I asked him if he wanted me to bring some quite some time ago; an he said no. They used to give it to him in the hospital; but then he was suffering from hospital dimentia and wasn't eating.

Yes, we keep unlimited talk and text. It helps. If he comes home but still has mobility issues for getting out of bed, a trapeze is a reasonably priced piece of durable medical equipment. Your insurance might even pay for it if the doctor orders it.

We have had an unlimited plan for over 20 years, as we found ourselves using the phones more, and then with texting the extra data, which we dropped back after my hubs retired as he uses our son's wifi and I use ours since I work from home. We all have unique 'needs' when it comes to phone plans. I hope that your visit went well.
