8/3/24 - Update On My Husband

Most of you probably already know this; but in addition to AFIB, my husband now has COVID. His chest is full of congestion; and he's having trouble breathing. My poor husband can't catch a break. He said he will be in the hospital 3 or 4 more days. Obviously he won't be coming home on Sunday.
The physical therapy records will not get to Missouri on time even though the delivery was guaranteed by 6 PM on August 2 (yesterday). At 2 AM on August 3 it is still in transit. It didn't leave the Cleveland Distribution Center until 5:12 PM and was supposed to be in Missouri by 6 PM. I will get my money refunded; but that doesn't solve the fact that the records will be too late to be considered by the judge in the appeal.

Make sure you go to the post office and get your money back. Take the receipt. If they don’t deliver they refund. I had to get money back from them when it was “only” $22.
I hurt so bad for Mr. OHio, and for you. This roller coaster ride doesn’t seem to stop for you, does it.

Yes, as of this morning it still wasn't delivered. Thanks. I'm tired of this ride. I want to get off and try something else.

I will call the judge's team on Monday morning and see if they will accept the records even though they were late.

You guys are under an unlucky star, I sure hope your hubby will recover and feel better at the hospital, He has to improve and so bad he has this setback and cannot go home, I keep praying and many blessings to you both,

I am sorry again to hear that....hopefully he will recover soon and can still come home soon. I know it won't be as soon as you hoped...but hope it won't be too much longer.

I think they will be. Nothing happens over the weekend. So, give it a bit more faith. Even if the papers do arrive by 6 today, the Judge won't see it until monday. Remember your package will be postmarked, so they'll know it was mailed before the deadline.

@LindaOHio Like I said, nothing happens over the weekend. No one would've been there to recieve it. You got it mailed before the deadline. That's what they're looking for. Most court houses and judges chambers are closed on the weekend or running shorter hours. Don't forget, judges are people too. They need to pump the breaks and have lives outside of work.

@kaylachan This team seems really nice; and the judge was very nice during our "hearing" too. She was very patient and explained everything. I'm hoping she accepts the paperwork.
