12/31/24 - Update On My Husband

Called the social worker to find out about the physical therapy cost, my husband said he hasn't been showered since he was transferred (you can take what he says with a grain of salt) and if he could be seen by the staff doctor about his confusion. I will call her again today.
Haven't received a call back about the increase in the room rate. I think an Ombudsman call is in order.
Tried to call my husband...no answer. I will have one of the aides tell him to call me today.
This will be the first time in 58 years that my hubby and I haven't rung in the New Year together. What are you doing tonight? I will be watching one of the New Year's Eve programs.
There is a winter storm watch. It may affect my husband's cousin coming tomorrow to make us a pork and sauerkraut meal for New Year's Day.
If you go out tonight, please be careful and don't drink and drive!!!

We won't be seeing my husband today. My husband's 2nd cousin was going to come over and make a pork roast that she found in my freezer with some sauerkraut (traditional for January 1); but there are Lake Effect S**w Warnings posted for today and tomorrow.

@TheHorse They've been doing it for years. It used to be Kathy Griffin with Anderson in Times Square but then there was the whole decapitated head mask thing. Don Lemon used to join in drunk in New Orleans but he got canned a couple of years ago. I can't wait to see if they top last year's cat bar appearance by John Mayer. Anderson was beside himself.

Let's just hope that the storm does not prevent her from coming over, you are looking forward to the time together with her.
I am sorry that you are apart on this last day of the year, you have the memories of years gone by that you can recall.
We are driving further than we usually do for supper out tonight, but I have trust that the drunks will be taking an uber.

I made some tater tots, a pork patty, and gravy, I always try to get the countdown for the ball drop in my hometown NYC on YouTube shortly before midnight, I hope you have a good evening and hear from your husband,

I missed the ball drop. Called hubby. He answered the phone but said he had to call me back. He never called; and his phone was off the next time I tried to call.

I feel bad that the Police have to deal with the bs. They'll have their hands full in New York for sure. I think ours are already dealing with some stuff, because there was a helicopter doing its thing not to long ago.

I hope the weather cooperates for you. My husband has worked nearly every New Year’s Eve and Day of our marriage. He will leave around noon today and not get home until sometime tomorrow afternoon. I know it will be difficult for you to bring in the New Year without your husband.
