I'm baaaack!

It’s three days since I posted a discussion. We’re at a house-sit and there is always some sort of drama at some point during our stay. This time it only took about 24 hours before the power went out for a very short time and we lost access to the internet. Despite trying all manner of solutions, we’ve only just got ‘reconnected’ so now it’s full-steam ahead. The photo is of one of the sunset here. We’ve seen the quendas and the blue-tongue lizard so I’ll have photos of them soon.

We've become very used to being able to go online whenever we want to so it was a bit of a shock to the system.

What a gorgeous sunset. Sorry about the whole internet stuff and it certainly is frustrating when it goes out. Hard to remember the good old days before we had internet.

The thing about power failure is we do not know how long it takes to get it back. It looks like you are in a wooded area.

I'm glad the power came back on for you quickly and you got hooked back up to the internet. I hate losing power, even if we always get it back as quickly because we're on the same circuit as the local hospital. That's a beautiful sunset. I'm looking forward to seeing the photos you'll take and have taken there.

@JudyEv Yes, I've heard the generators start up when the power goes down. They still won't want to rely on the generators, though.

That's good that you're on an 'essential' circuit. They wouldn't want the hospital without power for too long although I guess they have back-up generators.

I didn't word my discussion very well. The power was only out for a very short time but when it came back on we had all sorts of trouble getting the internet to work. It's good to have it back.
