An Update on “I Was So Upset”

So yesterday morning I went downstairs to leave for my appointment. There is a box to the side of the bottom of the stairs that was not there as late as 11:45pm the night before. And I just knew it was one of the things that had been stolen from in front of my door in that brief moment between hearing the delivery man and opening my door. So, I went over to the box that had been opened, and inside were two of the items that had been stolen (items I receive free in exchange for a review). Apparently, the thief does not want a purse or dog treats.
Of course, I looked around more, but that was it. The one very expensive item was obviously not going to be left behind. I believe the box was strategically placed where it was by the person I strongly believe did it. I know he heard me questioning people.
On the bright side, I really like that purse, and my dog does love treats (dried sweet potatoes). So I got that back.
And thank you to all of who gave advice and did a good of making me feel better.

A few items will still be sent to my apartment because of when they were shipped, and I can’t change that, but everything else from now on will be sent to my dad’s. You can leave packages on his front porch overnight, and no one will steal them. Obviously, I do not recommend that. I just know he’s done that.

Glad you got at least some of your booty back. Maybe you apartment manager can get him to give up the goods or at least ensure it doesn't happen again.

@sallypup He threatened a big guy who lives below us, but I think he’s scared of women. There are guys who live here I’m scared of, but he’s not one of them. Although he IS delusional. He warned me off being seen at a certain bar with two of my neighbors. Said he saw me with him. I’ve never been to a bar in my life! Lol

While I am thrilled that two of the items showed up for you to use and enjoy, I am still mad that whoever took the items didn't return ALL of them. I am also hoping that he knows you called the police, and that made him feel badly. I would like to think that he is now cured from his thieving ways, but somehow, I doubt it.
I do hope everyone in your building knows about the stolen items, and the police report. Then they will watch, too. So sad that a person cannot even get something delivered to your door and it's immediately stolen.

The person who I think stole the items does know I filed a police report. I talked to a different, very nice neighbor, and I very loudly related to that neighbor the process of what I did to file the report. The suspected thief had his front door open again so I know he heard me.

I hope this person is scared enough to not do it again...but often it seems that thieves do not stop until they are actually caught with the goods in hand.
Knowing your sweet nature and giving heart, if he had asked you for help in some way, etc...you would have given it to him or found help for him.

Surprised they did not toss what they didn't want. Glad you like the purse.

I don't like the idea that there is a thief in your neighborhood. It means you will have to keep constant vigilance.

I am glad you got a couple of things back. I figured you would start having things sent to your dad's place.

I'm glad you at least got a couple of things back. Thieves will never prosper in the end.
