My Platforms At 16

I loved fashion all my life. Even today, though I do not dress as I used to, I still love to see the runway shows with the big designers. This photo is exactly like a pair of shoes I had at 16. I had many pairs of shoes throughout my life. I also wore a yellow pair of cool bell bottoms with black stars on them with these shoes. @Looeyville had reminded me of these talking about the bell bottoms her Mother made for her. What were your favorite far out shoes you remember?

Those are some shoes. I would fall flat on my face if I wore them. Nothing too far out to remember.

Well I am sure I'd have a time if I tried to wear them today, but back then I was more agile Kristen.

I had bellbottoms but would never want them now. Those shoes look heavy.

I had a pair of men's platform shoes that I wore with bellbottom pants when I was in high school back in the late 70s.

I did a peg job on a pair of jeans I got somewhere. Remember pegging? I had a pair of tan platforms that I wore when cocktailing in my late twenties or so. I enjoy fashion too and watch many of the fashion shows on TV.

Wow - those shoes are groovy ! I got into fashion in junior high . . . but shoes were one thing I couldn't get away with getting cheaply, so I didn't own many pairs. Later in on life I did have some cool long royal blue suede boots with fringes in the back.

I’d never wear something like this. How can people walk in that or even stand in them? I wouldn’t be able to do either.

@RebeccasFarm that’s great! I watch celebs wear stuff like that and I’m like wow! And they do it with such ease. I’d be a klutz lol.
