I got as far as getting my Discussion posted yesterday; and the site went down again. Today it reluctantly came up after a couple of minutes; so I don't know how long I will be able to post. Behind as usual now. Got my first ideas for the headstone written up yesterday. I wasn't going to include any references to the Keys; but I broke down and added a palm tree on my husband's side of the stone and "Together Forever"...."See you in the Keys..." It made me cry; so I figured that was a good choice. Sigh. Breakfast - PB&J sandwich Lunch - Meals on Wheels - Lasagna, garlic bread, peas, cauliflower, peaches/pears Dessert/Snack - Banana walnut muffin Dinner - Turkey/cheddar sandwich and Doritos What did you eat yesterday? I'm very seldom around these days and the site is really aggravating with it constantly showing error pages.

No matter what, picking out a headstone is not something any of us want to do. Just go with your gut and have it done the way you want it to be. It's not an easy thing to have to do. Your husband was a veteran, correct? So he can have a free flat stone. You might put it at the foot of his grave?

@MarieCoyle What a good idea. I have a bronze plaque for my first hubby from the military. Second hubby is still around so not stone for him at this time.

Yes he was a veteran. He had a group from the VFW there at the grave site. I got a flag; and they played "Taps".

@LindaOHio I just wasn’t sure if you knew he could have a free military stone. My grandfather wanted the military stone, so he arranged for one to be made that matched his for grandma.

Go with what you feel is something you like to read when you visit your husband. I told my husband that I want to be cremated and my ashes dispersed, he wants the same.

@LindaOHio - My mother asked to be cremated and to be placed in a columbarium next to my father. We had a very hard time getting out my father from the burial place and to have them put together.

My husband didn't really care. He said for me to do what I wanted...so I chose burial, as I will be buried too.

The site either doesn't let me in or boots me after I post a discussion or a comment to someone and I have to enter the site again. *sigh* I wrote a discussion about it yesterday but "somebody" deleted it as soon as I posted it. I figured that was Michael back again. The new GAA doesn't seem to care about people complaining and, usually, leaves complaining discussions up for hours before they get deleted. As long as you're happy with the headstone, then that's all that matters. I didn't eat a lot yesterday. I lost my breakfast soon after eating it. I started running a fever yesterday afternoon so I didn't even try to eat lunch but did keep the grilled cheese sandwich Pretty made for me late last night down. I'm feeling better today but am dizzy. I took a pill for that and hope I can get outside this afternoon to take pictures of the places the different companies are digging in our yard...

Yes, there will be no one visiting the cemetery anyway, so I might as well make it to suit us. I hope you're feeling better today.

Thank you, Vicki. I figure there's no one really left to visit the cemetery; so I might as well pick something that suits us.

I am never on when the site has issues apparently, because I don't notice any of that. That does sound like a nice choice, doesn't sound like an easy thing to do at all for sure

Your meals all sound really good. I fixed Waffles for breakfast. For lunch I fixed chicken wings and homemade fries. For dinner just a grilled cheese sandwich.
