Visit to New Doctor

I was lucky to get an appointment today to see the doctor here in town that several people recommended.
I got there at 10:45 for my 11 am appointment. It took me a good 35 minutes to fill out all of the paperwork on health history and insurance information. After that I only had about a 4 minute wait until called to the back.
I really liked this doctor and the questions he asked. He couldn't believe that I had this rash still from April. I brought all of the medication that was prescribed from the Emergency Room visit and the one to Urgent Care.
He ordered blood work and prescribed an antibiotic ointment that is non-greasy! Win! He also prescribed 5 days of Prednisone. Next he recommended that I see a dermatologist and told me that a nurse would call me back with that appointment.
He took his time with me and did not rush me in and out like some doctors do these days. I think I will give him a try.
I got my medicine filled and we picked up pulled pork BQ sandwiches for lunch and headed home.
I am hoping that this medicine works. And also that I get in to the dermatologist soon!
How did your day go today?

I think you have got a good doctor now and hope he will help you come round. I pray for your early recovery.
Here we had a heavy rain last night. But it did not bring the temperature down. Let me see what will happen tonight.

I really hope your doctor is able to figure out what is going on. I have super sensitive skin, so when I get a rash I freak out.

@kareng Stress rashes are popular. Not like they are a good thing or anything, but they do happen. I got one a few months ago.
I'm actually surprised I haven't broke out tonight with everything going on.
Regardless I hope they are able to help you and you get over it soon. It isn't shingles, or rickets or something is it?

I'm not much into doctors but the sandwiches sound good
We can never get an appointment to see a doctor here unless we are under 16 or have a life shortening or life threatening condition.

This has gone on for quite some time. Do you even have any skin left to scratch? I am sorry, it must be driving you nuts.

@MarieCoyle I can only imagine what it would feel like taking all the skin and meat off. It feels good scratching. I'm trying my hardest. I have one spot that is infected that I scratched in my somewhat of what I call sleep now. One more week and a full month of this stuff.

@kareng What did you do? Go eat something you're allergic to just to see if the new meds work?

It's always a bit unsettling when you have to see a new doctor but glad that your appointment went well and you liked him.

Yesterday it mostly rained. I washed clothes and worked on my boyfriend's diamond painting. I have to go to the doctor Thursday to talk about doing a colonoscopy. I turned 45 in Feb. so I have to do one.

That's pretty fast to get in to a dermatologist. I hope he/she is a good one and can figure it out for you.

I am pleased you managed to see a Dr and i hope that the new medication works for you. We could hardly ever get an appointment at our Drs but then a big medical centre was built and four or five Drs surgeries merged. Since then getting an appointment is not a problem.
